PCOS and pregnancy

I have PCOS as well, and I have just started trying. It's been a little over two months now, and no luck, although I have to bear in mind that on average, most couples take around a year to conceive! An annoying thought! But I find that making sure I keep track of when I get my period, even if I don't have one for a while, it keeps me distracted, and that helps. I am seeing a OBGYN at the moment about tracking ovulation, to make sure I am ovulating when I DO have a period, and this is done by a series of urine samples. The doctor will give you 8 sample bottles. At the start of your next period, the first day of bleeding, you fill one of them, date it and put your name on it and D.O.B etc, and then you freeze it. Then you do the exact same thing on the same day the next week, like, say you do the first sample on Monday 1st, you will do the next on Monday 8th etc etc. There is another test you should have done before you get pregnant, which is a blood test to check your hormone levels. You can request this from your GP. The OBGYN will prabably make an appointment about 2 months after you first see them to discuss any medication, if you both feel you need it, or if there is significant cause. Like Clomid, which I noticed one of the other ladies is on. Maybe you could tell us more about it? xxxxxx
