The meeting was different than what we expected. We focused more on familial upbringing than dealing with the current issues. I am sure that Karen has an agenda that will work for us positively, but as of right now I’m not seeing a bigger picture.

I was supposed to have my closing yesterday (Tuesday) but of course it did not go through. The closing was set up by the buyer's team, with the impression that the buyer was good to go, but at 4 p.m. I got a text from my real estate agent informing me that the buyer's bank was holding up the deal.

Within minutes of me telling Karen that I hadn't heard from my lawyers, the other line rings, and it's them! The lawyer's assistant proceeds to tell me that they want a closing by Monday or Tuesday, and that she needs my answer within 48 hours.

But one of those conditions involves me coming up with loot I don't have -- $3,000 to be exact!

Over the last month, I have actually had $45,500 worth of open credit taken away, even though I was never late on any payments -- all because the house didn't close in June. One credit card was closed completely and two lowered my limits. Meanwhile, my house is in picture-perfect condition, which is exactly how I lived in it.

I called the bank and they informed me that the closing may happen, or they may decide that going into foreclosure may be a better option for them. My thoughts: This is real. I needed help, like, yesterday. I don't know what to do.

(I adopted him within one month of closing on my house.) The landscaping is newer -- we ripped out some 50 yr. old bushes in the spring of 2006.
