Hi, I have 3 daughters. A set of twins (5) and the oldest (11). My main problem I'm having is one of my twins crys all the time. When she doesn't get her way, when she cant figure how to do something, when someone gets something different from her. What I'm getting at, is that she seems to cry 24/7. I can't seem to get her to understand to talk to me before she gets so upset or looses her temper. I have given her constant love maybe even more than the other two. I try to give her kisses and hugs when she is upset. Problem is I don't want her to think she has to cry to get my attention. I'm hoping its a phase, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help me out.

Thank you

My oldest son, who is 9, is a bit of a crier/whiner. What I have been doing lately is when he starts to whine/cry I tell him that I can't understand him when he talks like that and I'd be happy to listen to him when he can talk nicely. He will usually go to his room to calm down, sometimes it take less than 5 min, sometimes more. After he's calm, he'll come find me and we'll talk about what's bothering him. It seems to be working.
