It was a particular person who has been posting for a bit that caused this.
She did a 'post your baby pics' thread (it's been removed) and stole pictures from blogs and sites about children who have serious illnesses or have died and claimed them as her own children.
This is leading many of us to believe she (?) is some sort of predator.

Its Mommy of 4 kids.
She has no kids. She didn't say her kids were sick or dead, she found pictures of random kids online who were sick or who have died, and stole the pictures off their parents' memorial sites and posted them on here saying those were her kids.

Sorry I was a little unclear on that.
She's not saying her children were sick or dead, she got pictures of kids from websites that happened to be a memorial (the dead one) and a promotional site for a fundraiser for leukemia (the sick one), and said they were her own healthy children.

Really? I couldn't stand reading her posts, because of the way she wrote things, it sounded like my 13 month old typed it. Hmm. That's an interesting one.

Creepy is right! She/he/it still had the balls to come on here and say how it was trying to delete the thread! What a creep, I saw this like at 12:30am, and let me tell you, I couldn’t fall asleep, she/he had me heated. It was having a conversation with me and all about my stature, and now it has a picture of me }[ I am so glad I have not posted any pics of my daughter.

Did you read her/its reply to "How did you name your kids" thread? After having read its picture thread and finding out they were other peoples' kids it was even more creepy to read her/its story on how she/it named these 4 fictional kids. MENTAL ISSUES ANYONE????

I guarantee she doesn't get deleted. And even if she does...so what? She can make a new username and come right back, 100 times over. They can't permanently ban anyone.
And my post on that thread got deleted too, Dee. I think its sickening what that person did, and equally sickening that Parenting is basically protecting 'her.'

I couldn't believe it when I realized what was going on. I clicked on the pictures in her post, and thought it was really strange that the first one took me to a personal blog that was quite articulately written. Then I clicked on the second photo which brought me to a site about a child who was killed in an ATV accident. At that point I turned to my husband and said "something's really wrong here". I just felt sick to my stomach that someone would use images of other people's kids (including those who have died or are very sick) to falsely represent their own (fictional) family.

This is just disgusting and sociopathic behavior.

can't they (parenting) get some sort of better security for this? What if we had to enter in some info from our subscriptions to the mag to register. It wouldn't totally prevent it, but then the a s s holes would have to at least subscribe to get on and they'd possibly had an address for tracking down the freaks. although i'm not sure anything would be done.

Wow I had no idea things like this were going on. I mainly get on here when I'm at work and have nothing to do. But since I'm off this week I've been looking at more then my usual areas I visit. I can't believe how crazy people get! Stealing pictures of other peoples kids that just uhm....messed up. I'm going to make sure not to put and pictures of my baby on here once I have him/her. I wish there was a way to make sure people like these get banned for good from family sites like this.

This is definitely super creepy. I just logged in and wasn't online for any of the craziness when this was discovered. I can't believe that someone would be so heartless to take a picture of someone's dead and/or ill child and say it's her child. *Shivers*

That actually sounds very good! In order to access the “Parenting” boards, you must be a subscribed member of the magazine. I’m disgusted for the first time users that come on to check out the site and end up seeing this. :(
