My family is taking our first vacation since the birth of our second child. Our oldest is 2 1/2 and the baby is 11 months. My husband and I are really concerned about lugging carry-ons and car seats around the airport. I was told by Delta Airlines that we will have to check our strollers. How are we supposed to get to our connecting flight carrying two babies, carry-ons, and bulky car seats? I called the airline and they weren't much help. Has anyone traveled recently that can give me some advice? My husband and I are pretty stressed out about the whole thing.

Most airlines do a "gate check", where you tag your stroller at the gate before boarding. They usually store gate checked items somewhere near airplane's exit, so they can easily be unloaded and waiting for you as soon as you deboard the plane. This is a nice option, since you can still use your stroller before and after your flight, as well as during a layover.
