due date mar 31. a little nervous was told at first dr visit that i have a sub chorionic hemorrhage. go back in 3 weeks to make sure its healed. read it could cause placental abruption. anyone know anything about this ?

Rou... we already told our kids (well, the older 2) :) I just sat them down and told them we had something to tell them, and said I have a baby in my tummy. Since my brother and sis-in-law recently had a baby and several of our friends are pregnant or have little ones, pregnancy is nothing new to them. They are very excited. Now I kind of wish I'd waited a bit, because it is so LONG for them to wait, but I'm already growing a bit (the joys of subsequent pregnancies!) and they noticed that my belly is a little bigger. :P So oh well. I find I have to explain when the arrival is (after DD's bday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, youngest DS's bday, Christmas, New Year's, Mommy's bday, Daddy's bday, THEN baby comes, but before Easter!) repeatedly! And DS-6 is asking more questions about how it gets out, so I showed him an animated computer generated video on youtube. Get ready to explain the birds and bees...

Absmom... I also have a subchorionic bleed, posted about it twice under Health in the Pregnancy forum but nobody seemed to know about it. I've had 2 u/s, one at 6 weeks, one at 9, and it hadn't grown at all. It's the most common abnormality they see, and usually it resolves itself. Chance of miscarriage is about 1 - 3% higher; not much! My ob told me no heavy lifting or high impact exercise, but that's normal pregnancy precautions anyway. Saw heartbeat on u/s, looks great. I think I may have had one with 1st, cos I started bleeding in my 5th month. They did u/s and blood and urine tests, found nothing, and the bleeding stopped. Just could have been the clot moving down from under the placenta and working its way out. Baby hung on til term and he was absolutely fine. Hope that helps you, keep us posted!

Who else is NAUSEATED? I got Zofran, which is saving my life. I take it around the clock, and so far have only lost 3 pounds (previous times I lost from 10-20), and don't throw up every day, which is a nice change. I've been eating small frequent meals, everything I'm supposed to do, but mostly I just have to wait it out. I can't remember when it's supposed to pass... I'm hoping really soon, but I seem to remember it lingering until 16 weeks or so last time...

My due date WAS March 11th, then it was changed to March 7th due to menstrual cycle calculations, however my ultrasound is Sept. 1st so they will give me a more accurate date. SUPER excited for the ultrasound! This is my second child. I have a 4 year old daughter, Ella, and though she is my world, I can't wait to share my world with this new baby.

Hi, Ladies! I am due on March 10th and this will be my first child! Was freaking out at first (although I stopped the pill last October.... we weren't 'trying', but we weren't NOT trying!), but now I'm getting used to the idea. Heard the heartbeat last Friday which relieved me, b/c I really haven't been 'feeling' pregnant. Been more tired than usual, but luckily no morning sickness. Labor scares me a bit (especially after watching several episodes of 'A Baby Story' and 'Birth Day'.... God, let me be one of those women who has an easy delivery!!!), and I know it's silly, but I'm already freaking out about the teenage years! One day at a time, I know! :) Hope you all are feeling great!

Just found out we are expecting!!! We already have a 10 yr old son and a 6 yr old daughter! We thought we were done! Oh well, as they say "man plans and God laughs!" I am working through the shock and trying to get excited. Apparently, this baby will arrive around March 29th. Anyone else NOT finding out the sex? :) Since we already have boy, girl, boy, I'm prepared for either! We didn't find out with #3 either, and it was fun waiting tho it drove me crazy at the end. ;) But EVERYONE told me it was a boy and sure enough! Soon as I start popping out more, let the predictions begin! I swore all the 1st tri it's another boy, (craving salty/spicy) but since we're at, what, 19 wks now and I'm STILL nauseated, I'm thinking pink now.

Opinions on my top name picks, pretty please? If it's a girl, she's going to be Elise Marie; my mom's name is Lisa Marie so it'll be kinda for her, plus I love the name. BUT if it's a boy, we're still deciding if we'll name him "Silas". I LOVE the sound of it, and I like old names, and I love "Si" for a nickname... but I'm trying to decide if it's too out there. If we do use it, he'll be Silas James - James after my granddad. What do you think? Don't be shy about being honest! A black lady I worked with told me it sounded like "an old black man's name!!" :D So...

I'm due March 27th, it's our first...I am very nervous and there seems to be so...much going on!!! We of course had different plans, but now that we are going to be parents we decided to change things a bit and now we are moving into a house on the 15th of November! I'm pretty stressed since we don't have anything packed yet and I am also attending college and working. My Baby boy Benny would have been almost 10 months, benny was born on Valentine's day and didn't survive the birth. Having trouble getting really excited about this baby just nervous. this post is just to say im kinda thrown back at how some of u mothers or new mothers are referring to yourunborn child as *kid* or those of you who have referred to your child as a *halfbreed* or even something as little as *mixed race* why it is even necessary to bring the childs race or ur race into the picture... To me its almost opening a door to a sensitive topic for most people, whether in agreement or not. Just think for a second how sensitive a topic race is in general for a lot of people.. The last thing u want is for someone to comment negatively on your child based on what uve said, this is a joyous occassion and please try and keep that door closed.. ANYWAYS CONGRATS TO ALL THE NEW MOTHERS AND ALL THE REPEAT MOMMIES, THIS IS MY 3RD AND THEY SAY 3RD TIMES A CHARM AND SURE ENOUGH MY 10 AND 5 YR OLDS ARE BOYS AND MY 3RD IS MY GIRL, SAFE TO SAY SHE HAS PLENTY EYES AND PROTECTION AROUND HER INCLUDING DADDY... So im new to this message board thing! but im on bedrest so i figured what they hey!... I am expecting my second son due March 14th. we are getting more excited/worried as the days go on! i am high risk. the doctors seem to think that i may have an incompetant cervix! so i am on complete bedrest... its hard for me considering my son is only 18 months! and i miss being able to play with him! any one else having guilty thoughts about their babies being close together?! i had a really hard time in the begining but its getting better! Jayden Blake (my first son) is 18 months and we are naming the new baby Nathyn Chance... i wanted a strong name with meaning and it means God brings good fortune (the whole name together!) i want to have a baby shower because i gave ALL of my baby things to others who were less fortunate than we are however some of my family seems to think that since i had one with Jayden that i shouldnt with Nathyn... anyone have any suggestions?

You'll pull through and March is coming up soon- and I also don't think it's bad to have another small baby shower for your second. Since you're on bed rest and you guys have no boy things for your new baby I don't see why your family and friends wouldn't want to help you out- it's not selfish at all! Hang in there girlfriend!

I'm due march 4th, having a girl and i'm getting nervous. This is my first child and i've been getting a lot of advice from people, but it's almost irritating because i see their children and it may sound bad, but I don't want my child to act that way. Hopefully it's just the hormones that make me feel like this. I'm going to be a single mom and I know it's going to be very hard, but i'm also just enjoying the whole experience. I've picked out Evelyn as her name due to the fact that it's different and i've never met anyone with that name. I'm experiencing a lot of heartburn and braxton hicks lately. And her movements are starting to hurt due to the lack of space. I'm not that big, but the doctor says i'm measuring perfect. I just can't wait till she's here so maybe the lonliness won't be so bad. It's been somewhat difficult not to have anyone to share all of the amazing moments, but I think that's what's going to make my bond with this little girl even more special. Only a few more weeks to go and although i'm nervous, I'm still extremely excited.

I just signed up to this site, and I think its way cool we can all share our experiences together. I am pregnant with my 3rd child, I have a son 4 1/2 and a daughter 3 and this one is due March 31st. My last and final child we will be having. Im a bit nervous becuase I will be doing it this time without an Epidural. I had a horrible experience with my daughter and I vowed to never get one again, yet with my son teh epidural was totally fine for me? I guess its just a hit adn miss ya know.

me and my husband are having or first child, they said i was due 3-10-10.then they moved it up and said i was 2 weeks further along, so i really dont know when i am having her. but we are so excited. i have been in and out of the hospital with different complications. not a good first experience at all, but i know it will be worth it. my last stay in the hospital, at 28 weeks i was given steroid shots to develop her lungs so, i believe that just made me more anxious for her to be here since i know she is developed. they tell me if i carry to full term she will be a 10 pounder! lol thats really big. but as long as she is healthy. i just cant wait for her to be in the crib rather than in my belly. i have been pregnant forever ot feels and forever is too long for me with this many complications (high risk, low placenta, toxemia, dislocating hips. hemerroids, etc.)
but i keep reminding myself that joselyn will be all worth it!!

I think every woman should have abay shower for every baby she has.....baby showers aren't just about getting presents....they are a time to build up the mother to be and make her smile.....my sister is planning a "surprise" baby shower for me sometime soon here......I am looking forward to the food and socialization more than the presents

Hello March mom's-to-be! According to my LMP I am due 11 March BUT according to my US I am showing my due date as 20 Feb. Never had such a big gap in due dates before. My doc tells me I miscalculated my LMP... (sigh). I keep track of when my cycle ends and starts (don't want to be caught off guard with no pads) LOL This is my 7th baby and It's a Boy!!

Wow MsCynMind, 7 kids! :) Don't hear that every day! Good for you... must be tiring, all the comments you get, with 4th on the way I thought I was getting more than my share of (unsolicited!) opinions. How do you head them off? We have DS: 6.5, DD: 4, DS:2, so "trying for a girl to even it out?" (No, actually doesn't matter, and we're having more anyway...) "4 kids! Are you crazy?" (No, are you?) AND my favorite: "Don't you know what causes that?!" (Um, no, maybe it has something to do with holding hands...?) LOL probably just feeling tired and cranky these days, people will comment, and I know bigger families are an oddity... yet, I don't feel free to comment on other people's personal choices so freely! What do YOU say to people? I usually just head them off by saying we're very blessed, yes we're busy, but aren't we meant to be, anyway?

So my due date was 3/11 but because of being Group B pos with last 3 (we need to have time for the antibiotic and I have FAAAAST labors!) and last baby being 9#5oz, OB will induce on the 4th. That's if nothing happens in the meantime! I was dilated to 3cm Tuesday, almost completely effaced, and passed my plug Thursday. I'm kind of wanting to wait til Monday since "my" doc is not on call for this wkend. But I've been walking... having irregular contractions, more discharge, etc, THINKING about trying sex to start things, LOL, poor DH, I've been VERY uninterested lately since I've been in pain for over a week!

It's funny because I haven't even gained that much weight this time, and I don't look THAT big... chalk it up to having 3 little ones to chase!... but I swear I've never been this uncomfortable in my life! Karate kid in here, out of breath, and that achy, heavy feeling in my groin and legs, ugh. Counting down! How about everyone else?
