My son has never had a probably with separating from me when droping him off at preschool. It's heartbreaking, I feel so bad. He said he doesn't like this new preschool but at the end of the day he's always playing with the other kids and seems to be having fun and talkes about this little girl he calls his "girlfriend" and another little boy that he likes to play with. You see, the end of April he left his old preschool to start a new one, well the very next day I got laid-off so he didn't go to any preschool for about 6 weeks, when I got a new job and got him into this preschool; he seemed alright for about a month then all of a sudden, last Wed. and today he started crying and screaming and just clinging to me.
I just don't know what to do. I've never had this problem with him before and I just start crying on my way to work cause I hate to think he's so misserable there. This preschool is so much nicer and better than his old one. They do so much for fun things and he'll be starting a Pre-K class the end of Aug. I don't want to take him out.
Any suggestions on how I can help him with this and how I can get us both to stop crying in the mornings (him at preschool and me on my way to work, lol).
