I wish. He's working.
Monday through Friday. Gets up at 4:30am, comes home at 5pm.
And we don't live on post, so he can't even run home at lunch for a quickie, haha.

No one was posting! So I did 'other' things (this included a vain attempt at getting the demon to take a nap, and that was the most exciting thing I did)

H.Starr
07-08-2009, 12:13 PM
Roman's not too interested in me today. He's in one of his "I wanna play alone" moods.
Its almost lunchtime...and then he takes his nap, and then I'll be COMPLETELY lost as to what to do!
If you ladies don't keep me occupied, I'll have to *GASP* CLEAN the house!!
Please don't make me do it....

Jolee - Saturday's not that far away. Get some sexin in before he leaves. Its only a couple days.

Keri - Housework is overrated. ;)

j-love - I'm offended that you would DARE put patients' needs ahead of MINE! Just kidding. :)

H.Starr
07-08-2009, 12:18 PM
Trust me, nothing you want to try. :)

I'm terrible. I'm really going out of my way to hunt down things to do instead of cleaning. Even though the house needs it and it would only take me an hour or two. I just don't feel like it.

I folded all the laundry this morning. That's enough "work" for one day. :P

I still need to baby proof the house. He's crawling more so I have to clean *gasp* and baby proof.

jolee.marie
07-08-2009, 12:21 PM
unfortunitly he's already left today. he kissed me goodbye and told me to sleep in since the baby was still sleeping. we got as much in last night as possible. hehe ;) and my house is already clean for the week so i'm with you i'll be bored. the only thing i gotta do today is go to the farmers market.

i dont like the days when sophie gets into the "i dont want mommy moods" she has been like that for the last 2 days. she doesnt want anything to do with me during the day and she has wanted her daddy and as soon as he gets home from work she reaches for him and wont let go. so cute.

H.Starr
07-08-2009, 12:23 PM
I think its because my husband had a four day weekend for the 4th, so he was home four straight days, and played with Roman more than I did all four days.
So now he went back to work yesterday and Roman's like "Mom? Eww. I want Dad back." He was SO excited yesterday when his dad got home. I think that's how it will be today too.
Apparently Mom's just not much fun compared to Dad.

H.Starr
07-08-2009, 12:28 PM
Oh, and the sex thing.
After I had Roman, I had to wait six weeks of course. Two days after my six week check up, my husband had to leave for two and a half months.
So we went six weeks with no sex. Had two days to "live it up." And then nothing for two and a half more months.
But let me tell you, what a reunion once he got back! ;)

i think sophie is in the daddy mood today. she turns away from me. dang he wont be home tonight to satisfy her, we'll have to try grandma and grandpas house tonight. hehe. oh i gotta baby proof too. i need to go buy things for it. sophie scooted herself all the way from the living room to the kitchen yesterday while i was putting up dishes. it was so cute to see her litte head pop around the corning and just start giggling. it melted my heart.

H.Starr
07-08-2009, 12:29 PM
Keri - Here's the plan. I'll hire a maid. When she finishes my house, I'll send her to yours. Then you pay her for both of us.
Good deal? ;)

Congrats on 29 weeks, by the way!

jolee.marie
07-08-2009, 12:31 PM
we are bad, we didnt even way for 6 weeks. i think it was more like 4 or 5. hehe. it hurt like a b*tch but it was so worth it.

last summer while i was pregnant hubby had to work in oklahoma for 3 weeks straight and was only back for 1 week so we had to live it up in that one week. it sucked.

i wish i had a maid too. i had a huge mountain of laundry that needed folding yesterday. i think laundry is the worse house work know to man, well ok maybe the toilet cleaning is but still. :)

Hahaha..yeah, that's what my husband says when I'm on the phone with him and I'm like, Ok, I have a patient I will call you back. He gets irritated with that...lol. I have to be in the mood to clean. Once I am in that mood, watch out!! There is no stopping me! I am like a mad woman and EVERYTHING gets cleaned! HHmmm...what would I do with spare time?? OH! I would catch up my photo albums...I think the last time they were updated was the baby showers! Or, catch up on some DVR shows...

OMG, I am so glad that you guys are on today!! It is raining outside, which kind of dampers my park idea. I have to say, since I have started staying home....I have kind of nothing to do. LOL. Don't get me wrong, it beats the hell out of work, but my week has been like: Go to the park, go to the zoo, go to the museum, UH OH, it's raining, let's get on babytalk. I have been getting tired of going to the same park lately, so I actually drove like...40 minutes, just to try a new park. LOL.

did anyone else have to have that stupid spray bottle to use when you go to the bathroom after labor. they dont let you use toilet paper if you had stitches. it sucked. especially when i got home and the hot water faucet was broken in my bathroom so i had to use cold water in the middle of freaken winter in the middle of the night. *FREEZING* hehe.

Jolee - Try a 15 month deployment! Talk about some serious making up for lost time!!
And I'm the same way with cleaning. My husband swears I have mental issues every time I get going!

Keri - Yay, everyone loves belly pictures! :)

Does anyone know anything about IUDs? I have been so bad with my BCP lately and I was thinking it might be a good idea...I don't know much about them, though...

jolee.marie
07-08-2009, 01:14 PM
omg... i just went to take a shower and this thread jumped a whole page. i had the bottle, the spray and the tucks pads. they were my best friend. if i didnt use the spray or the pads it would hurt so bad down there to where i couldnt walk. and yeah they asked me if i had had a bm but i didnt and they still let me go. i'm with heather i was gonna hold it in for 6 weeks. hehe.

H.Starr
07-08-2009, 01:22 PM
I asked about the IUD after I had Roman, but my dr wouldn't let me have it because we're planning on having baby #2 when Roman's 2 years old.
She said to take it out that soon is just a waste.
So that's all I really know...don't use it if you're having more kids.

Zack_Jenn
07-08-2009, 01:39 PM
I would highly recommend looking deep into an IUD and asking people you trust around you about them. I didn't do a whole lot of research except into the hormone vs non-hormone part and went with a non-hormone one after my son was born. At first I really thought it was a great decision. The idea of not worrying about being pregnant, not having to use other protection, and what not sounded really good to us. They really are a great thing for some people (I had a friend who had to be treated for cancer with radiation just after their first son was born and she could not get pregnant for at least a year because of the risks the radition could cause for the new baby. She never had a problem and she loved it!) It turned out to not be so good for us though.

I didn't have my period for probably 6 months after Taggart was born and the IUD was placed, but when I did start having them I immediately had issues with my IUD. I began to spot randomly. It turned from spotting once a month, to once a week, to once a day. They told me that it just might be the placement of the string that was making me bleed, but then I heard from my cousin that she was having similar problems and they did an ultrasound and found that the IUD had grown into the side of her uterus and they had to surgically remove it.

I called my doctor and they told me the chances of that happening were very minimal and that if I started bleeding more they would set up an appointment for me to get it checked. It was soon after that that I bled for 2 weeks straight and not light bleeding. I was bleeding to the point that I was soaking through a super plus tampon and a pad in an hour sometimes less. Another part of that that was so disturbing was that I had just gotten off my period a few days before. I went in and they removed it with no issues and they couldn't tell me why I bled like that. All they could tell me is they just aren't the right choice for some women.

After I had mine removed I had another cousin (the sister of the cousin mentioned above) who began to bleed randomly too and they told her hers was failing and that she needed to have it removed to remove the risk of pregnancy complications if something were to happen. I started asking around and found a surprising number of girls I knew had them had them removed in less than a year-year & 1/2 because of complications. I even met one girl who got pregnant with twins with hers. So look into it and make sure it is the right choice. I was so mad that I spent hundreds of dollars getting it placed and a year later almost $300 to have it removed. If you are still looking for a good form of birth control I have heard good things about the NuvaRing, I was going to try that before they decided I shouldn't take anything hormonal.

Dear God people! I go for an hour (and finally get the demon asleep... by the way, his crib is more comfortable than my bed.... damn... I should start sleeping in there. Yes I was in his crib, yes it's sturdy enough to support my weight, it's a 5-n-1, dunno what the 5 is, but I know what the other 4 are, so it's made to support some weight, yes he's asleep... finally) and this is what happens.

We do not speak about postpartum pooping around me (I would have never been released from the hospital if they had made me poop first.), I hadn't pooped in 10 days after he was born... I was terrified. I know, TMI, but hey, you all brought up the pooping.

I was more scared I was going to go DURING labor. I heard it was pretty common and I was SO scared.
When I fist started pushing I kept saying "No, I can't push, I'm gonna sh*t myself!"
The nurse was like "No you're not, that's the baby."
I was like, "No, I can't push!"
I never did "sh*t myself" but I did pee on her. Oops.

LOL!

Postpartum pooping. "Pooping?" Man, I miss being able to say sh!t. Lmfao. But anyway, talk about not... pooping... I wish I coulda held it in for 10 days Becca! If I had read this right after I had Ruby, I woulda ENVIED you lol. I had to go the night I got home. I felt so scared, but I was scared if I hadn't gone then I'd get back up or go in bed from not being able to hold it any longer... You know, all these impossible worse case scenarios... lol.

And birth control... I'm not getting on any 'til I'm actually having sex. Which I can say is gonna be a REEEEEEAL long time. Ruby is my special prescription of birth control. :]

Oh Saphira... I ended up in the ER on Christmas day because of lack of pooping. I couldn't sit, I couldn't walk, I had intense pain and pressure... topped by normal postpartum pains.

My husband was cracking up when I finally did go the day after Christmas. I was yelling "OH SWEET JESUS!" so loudly I think my neighbor heard me clearly from inside her house... down the street a block :p

haha i'm so in the same boat as becca. since she had jg a day after i had sophie i think it is about the same time i pooed after birth. i think it was actually christmand eve that i did and it hurt i think a thousand times worse than labor. i was crying. hehe (once again i'm a big baby)

i too would have loved to walk past her house then too just to get a good laugh.

and not to be any more discusting than we are with this talk about poop but one of my classes we were talking about bm's and i guess this lady who my professor was caring for in the hospital (profess. is an RN) she hadnt gone in so long and she was so backed up that she was throwing up her oh sh*t, literally it was so far into her intestines that it was making her stomach hurt so much that she threw up. so to stop this my professor actually had to put her hand in this ladies butt and get her unclogged. i think it was probably the most discusting story i had heard in a long time, i wanted to puke and mind you at this time i was 8 months prego. hehe. sorry had to share.

I think my hubby had a timer counting down those 6 weeks. And then right before my 6 week checkup, I scared him by saying I though my stitches might have torn a little about a week ago and we might not get to do anything for a while. BTW, he was waiting impatiently for me to get home from the doctor. If I'd let him accompany me there, he probably would've pulled over on the side of the road on the way home. :)

My doctor perscribed me stool softeners so it would be easier to go. I did not have that much trouble. Thank God. When I was in the begining stages of my pregnancy I skipped ahead in my What To Expect When You're Expecting book and I read the First Post Pardom BM section, and the whole pregnancy that is what I was dreading. I knew I should not have skipped ahead. haha

I had a good excuse though. I had 3rd degree lacerations from giving birth, we joke the kid literally tore me a new one. So the doctors were all "Be careful! Take stool softeners!" and all that. They had be terrified of pooping. And when I get dehydrated... well I'm prone to constipation.
