My 19 month old son has started to throw up since 1 month without apparent reason. I cannot feed him anything solid while traveling, or he throws up. Its not motion sickness though, cause he has these bouts even in the house, and I can't figure it out. PLEASE HELP! has anyone else gone through this phase with their child?

Has he been throwing up for one month or since he was one month old (therefore throwing up for 18 months)? Either way I would call the doc and take him in to be seen as soon as possible.

The only thing I can think of that it could possibly be is acid reflux. If I were you I would definitely take him to the pediatrician. It is definitely not normal.

He's been throwing up since last one month. I never had a problem with him before. The doctor says its probably just a phase that a lot of kids go through, and I might want to give it another month and see what happens. needless to say, i'm looking for another pediatrician.

Definitely look for another doc! If he says that's a phase then I would hate to know what kind of kids he's been seeing! My son is 19 months also and he hardly ever throws up. Once in a while milk will curdle in his stomach and he will spit that up, but never has he thrown up solids without an accompaning fever. Find a good reputable doctor and get a second opinion. Good Luck!

I'm not sure if you have found a diagnosis to your little one's condition, however, it sounds so much like what my daughter has. She has GERD. She is 19 months old, and we have had to keep her on medication due to the fact that she will throw up if we don't. We had her tested, which was quite awful, but we were able to see the reflux in action. A lot of children will out-grow this condition, my daughter has not as of yet.....I would find a pediatrician who will test your son and then make an assessment based on the findings. Good luck...I know this is very frustrating.
