My 6yo step-daughter lives with me and my husband and usually that is not a problem however lately she has been doing thing that we ask her repeatedly not to do and giving us attitude. She screams and squeals while playing and if i ask her to use her indoor voice she glares and pouts she is also very selfcentered and thinks she should be the center of attention which isnt possible because me and my husband have a 1yo son and another baby on the way. when we bring up these issues with her mother she makes excuses for her behaviore and she thinks that her (my step-daughter) selfishness is cute. The other day my stepdaughter even said she didnt want my husband (her real dad ) to be her daddy anymore! I am at he end of my rope and dont know what to do with her. I dont want her to go live with her mother cause she will only get worse but I cant take much more stress. please help!

WOW! Its gotta be harder for you because she is not your child, unfortunatly, i dont think there is much YOU can do because your not her mom. Of course she wont listen to you....I dont know the mom, but she sounds like she a bit childish. Have you tried taking privledges away? She is kinda young, so probably doesnt understand her behavior or how it affects all of you. I have a 5 and 3 year old, but i just got the smart mouth and talking back. I found these 1 day behavior pockets online, they totally work because the kids can see there behavior and how it affects everyone. Really cheap to. check out the website disciplinemommy.com. Hope it gets better.
