I am a bit newer to this site and I have to tell you I love it. I am not computer savey so for me to go online and look something up I find myself looking at something tottaly different. So basically I don't use the computer at all except for digital pictures. My husband jokenly says I am addicted. I go on about 5 x's in 24 hours just to see if there are and new posts that my partain to me. No more then 10 minutes each, sometimes less. but when the kids go down for there nap (as long as laundry's in and dishes done) I spend more time just to read up on other things, I have found a lot of great advice. Am I addicted? how much time do you spend on line?

I know how you feel. My husband says the same thing. In fact, we were arguing about something the other night and he says that I talk more to the people on the Parenting website than to him. Not true but he was irritated about not seeing me because of his job. I love this website. My husband thinks it is funny sometimes. I am a SAHM and we are broke! So going places to socialize just doesn't happen. My husband keeps encouraging me to get together with other mothers but I have some health problems that makes it hard to carry both my twins at the same time. Now that they are walking, it will be easier to go by myself. As for how long I spend on here, usually about 30 mins twice a day but I am on the internet for about 2 hrs a day. Most of which is after the girls go to sleep but I love playing games on the internet plus I have recently gotten into the MySpace thing. When my husband complains about it, I tell him that "the house is clean and the girls are cared for and you are at work so what does it matter what how long I am on here." I try not to be on it while he is here because we don't get much time as a family with his job.

So funny - I'm a fellow addict!! I've become a total junkie of this site, especially this message board. I have learned so much from all the postings, and my husband is getting tired of hearing about it I'm sure. But, he's on a fishing/kayaking message board so he understands my addiction. :) I don't have any other friends that have young children so this is my only source of information and sympathy. I love this place!!

Yup, I love it! I check in 2-4 times a day, @ naptime, while the boys are watching a show, or after they've went to bed. I am so glad to have other people in the same boat to share thoughts with! Finding this site is definitely something I'm glad I did!

Hi my name is Amanda
I have one son, Alex, 9 1/2 months
Alex loves to get into everything leaving a path of destruction behind him (which I actually don't mind I love watching him explore). He also loves to be tossed in the air, to have me tickle him, and for me to hang him upside down.
My biggest parenting struggle is finding the balance between spending time with my son and finding time to spend with my husband (he works alot so I can stay home).
For fun I love to read, visit this site, go for bike rides, play with my son, and investigate children sites for when Alex is old enough. I decided I want to know the ins and outs of every site, flaws, benefits, etc. My current favorite site is Webkinz (yes I admit I went out and bought a Webkinz so I could see what the buzz was about. I have to say I'm impressed with and slightly addicted to that site; it's very cute.).
My favorite movie is Dirty Dancing I have love this movie since I was little. I also love Chocolat (Johnny Depp is just yummy), And I cannot leave out Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast.
My last meal would have to be a nice New York Strip with a loaded Baked Potato and some Onion Rings Followed up by any available chocolate dessert (since its my last meal I might as well splurge).

I check this site at least twice a day, specifically for new posts/threads :) I guess that means I have an addiction as well. Like some others on here, I would like to interact with fellow preggers, and moms. I dont know anyone my age who has kids or is pregnant, so its nice to come on hear and get advice from people who have "been there, done that". Which I guess means I should thank all of you who have answered my questions! THANKS!
What is your name?-- Jessica and I am 19
How many kids do you have, and what are their ages? I am 15 weeks pregnant with my first child
What do your children like to do? Hopefully he/she will take after me (I love horses and I am a snowboarder) and not his/her father (VIDEO GAMES!)
What is your biggest parenting struggle? I worry alot about financial stuff right now...and its stressful!
What do you do for FUN? I love horses, so I am really into riding and just spending time with them. I also like to bowl on occasion, even though Im not good at it. I rock at snowboarding, and I used to be a snowboard instructor at a nearby ski resort. I also enjoy quality time with my BF, who I dont get to see much of because of work.
What's your favorite movie? Anything with a horse in it LOL
What would your last meal be? Pizza
