Play Dates

Hi. New to the site and in need of advice. My soon to be 6 year old is a social butterfly, unlike her mom. She'd like to see her friends outside of the classroom setting however while I've said hello and had polite conversation with other moms on the occasional school trip, I'm not very friendly with them. With the last day of school fast approaching, how do I communicate to other my child's classmate's parents that we're open to a play date?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
