Have the finalists been notified yet? If we haven't heard anything by now, can we assume we didn't make the cut?

The rules said that semis would be notified by June 16th, so I think we're out if we didn't get a call. But I'm wondering if maybe they pushed the notification back two days, since they pushed the entry deadline back two days?

Admins, any idea? Can you help put us out of our misery and tell us if the semifinalists have already been notified? :)

Hi there,

Semi-finalists have not been contacted yet but will be notified by the end of the week. You will not be notified if you weren't selected. I hope that helps!

Oh, yes -- me again! Can you tell us if the semifinalists have been notified? I saw a Twitter post that said semis will be chosen this summer?? Does that mean the final three semis or that the final eight haven't been chosen yet?

And if they haven't been notified, can you tell us when they will be?

Hi there,

I checked with the folks who are working on the contest, and they said they are in the process of contacting the candidates for the 8 semi-finalist spots, and the 3 finalists will be announced in September.

Are they done contacting the semis? I'm assuming it's over, since it wouldn't take long to make eight phone calls, but I just want to be sure. :(

I hope the other Jen doesn't mind if I speak for both of us when I say we're not trying to be pests or annoying, but it would be nice if we could hear from someone that the semi-finalists have been notified and we can stop wondering or holding out hope.

but that's all the info I can share right now. If you read the rules, they need to do background checks, get releases signed, etc, for all semi-finalists, so it really is a little more complicated than making 8 phone calls.
