Hi everyone and congratulations. I'm Jen and pregnant with baby #2 (my son is 14 months) and due January 1st. I just had a miscarriage in February, so I am a little nervous this time around, but so far the awful morning sickness has helped put my mind at ease a little bit.

Hey everyone so nice to see people respond.Congratulations to you all.I hope we can all stay in touch through our pregnancy!I havent had any morning sickness yet,Im kinda thankful, last time I had it all the way through my 2nd trimester.YUK!Anyways my boobs are killin me this mornin, feels like they are on fire.I noticed earlier I wrote finance I meant fiance. My husband to be is very much involved and excited,I didnt get that reaction with my first son. Were hopin for another boy but mostly a healthy baby.My only concern at this point is about havin the 2nd child and the 1st child get along.Ive been reading alot on how to get them to bond after the baby is born,Im hopin these ideas work.I want my first son to be accepting, hes just so used to bein the only one.But I think as long as I tend to his needs,Im hopin everything will turn out okay.My son loves to 4wheel and recently taken up the sport of muttun bustin at the local rodeos. So as long as we still attend those events and I make sure hes gettin attention at home I dont things will change much,he likes to help help help all the time,so he may look at this as a new way to help mommy.Other than sick, how is everyone feeling?Keep in touch everyone.Talk again soon.

Hi all. Congratulations to everyone. I'm due 1-8-10, changed from 1-1-10 after the ultrasound. But my first, and only child, was 11 days early, so you never know! Anyway, this was a big surprise. Our daughter is 5 and we thought our family was complete. I found out a day after running a 1/2 marathon that I was pregnant. As a 36 year old (37 when baby is born) I guess I'm considered an old lady :) So I've noticed some new stress about extra tests etc. Anyone else notice this? I feel for all of you with the morning sickness. 24/7 nausea really stinks. Hopefully, it won't last long. I'm really feeling it this time around, just like with my first. It took 16 weeks for me to feel better with my first, but I'm hoping I'll feel better sooner with this one:) Take care!

Hi guys,
My name is Cindy and this is my first! I'm due 1/29/10. SO I am just beginning my 6th week. I was so sleepy today, but unlike you guys I was at work today and actually took breaks and took two 15 minute naps today that got me to the end of the day! I'm surprised I'm not asleep yet!! Anyway, I am very excited and am already waking up two-three times a night to pee, I'm sore around my midsection, I feel crampy, and I am already moody! Not to mention my huge breasts are starting to hurt! And I am afraid they are only going to get bigger!!!! Anyway, how are you all feeling? And is it normal to feel so much so soon?? Hmmmm....
Nice to meet you ladies!

I'm due January 12th 2010 with my first. I'm so excited but still so nervous. My first appt is 11 June. I'm hoping everything is ok with the baby. Me and my husband are both in the Air Force and I work in Vehicle Maintenance and there's a lot of fumes and chemicals in the air so I have a high risk for miscarriage and what not, but I do work in the office and have been banned from going on to the shop floor. So wish me lucks girls that everythings ok and is going as planned. It does help that I still have random nausea and my chest hurts horribly also that I have a little bump starting to grow. But until I'm out of the woods in the 2nd Trimester I'm still going to be nervous. I just have to make it to June 30th!

06-09-2009, 02:30 PM
By our calculations - We could be due anywhere between December 28th and January 10th. My first appointment is not until the 29th. I wanted to wait until the first trimester was over and the doctor's office didnt think this was out of the norm. We've told a total of 3 people and plan on sharing the news 4th of July.

My hubbie & I have been married for 2 years, and this is our first child.
I'm really excited & have been reading as much as I can on the subject, however there's still so many questions.

I'm working - but my mind has been elsewhere lately. I wish I could sleep all day!

Have you started buying anything yet? I dont want to buy too many useless things.
Have you started showing yet? My belly's still fairly small - but my hubbie & I can tell. Also the lovies (Lovehandles) I worked so hard to get rid of are now back. Oh well! Well worth it right?

Happy growing!

A little long....
So I had my first Appt yesterday and it went great. The baby is 1.3 inches long and growing normally. I'm so happy everything was ok. We got our first picture of the baby it looks like a Teddy Gram. When we looked on the screen for movement the baby was moving all around so now me and my husband call it out little dancing teddy bear. It was so amazing to see my baby moving. The Dr. said since everything is perfect and nothing was wrong that I have a less likely chance of miscarrying now and I should be fine, but of course until I make it to the 2nd trimester I'm going to worry.
I went out and bought my first neutral outfit for the baby it is of course yellow and has little ducks all over it.
And to help with nausea eating every hour or other hour has helped me a lot. I just eat something small like crackers or a some sun flower seeds. I've been getting heartburn with eating anything tums will be become your best friend if they aren't already they alsp help a little with nausea.
Good luck ladies!

I'm 19 and this is my first and my fiance's second, he is 29. I'm so nervous. Based on my last period, which was very light and short, on April 20th, they say my edd is Jan. 24th, but he and i both think i'm either farther along or carrying 2. We dont find out till the ultrasound 4 week from now. We did not plan this at all, but we are both very excited. He is so amazing, even before getting pregnant, i wake up to "good morning beautiful" everyday. We have been together for 1 year and it is the best relationship i've had. But i'm just so nervous. We have almost absolutely nothing for the baby, all we have is a cradle which my mom's friend gave us. He lost his job a few days after we found out i was pregnant, so money is TIGHT. I'm so afraid we won't be able to afford the things we need before the baby comes. We don't even have a car. I'm supposed to be meeting with dhs for insurance and food stamps but even then idk if we can afford the baby stuff. Any suggestions besides thrift stores? thats the only answer we've been given so far.

Sorry so long. First time jitters I guess. I would've gone crazy already if it wasn't for him.

Hi Sandra! Good to hear from you! It sounds like everyone is doing well! I am good too, except on Friday I started having a few strong cramps, I called my dr and have been resting ever since. Then today, just now, I started spotting a little and I am having light cramps, so I am scared. Is light pink spotting normal? I have read that it is, but I am scared and nervous, I am 8 weeks and 2 days now. I am going to see my dr tomorrow but has anyone experienced pink spotting before?

And the military girl that called her baby a teddy gram is hilarious!!! It kind of DOES look like that in my sonogram too! :-)

jeadra2010
06-22-2009, 07:12 AM
Hello Cynthalia,I would not worry about the spotting, sometimes it is normal unless it is very heavy I myself experiecing a little spotting too and my Doc say as long as it's not haevy bleeding and bad cramps I should be fine, I have a ultrasound for July 1,what about have you done a sonogram yet by the way I am also 8 weeks and few days try not panic and worry too much stay in bed as long as you can and rest rest rest,I am 36 and time is not that good and I had 3 miscarriages before this pregnancy I am praying everything goes well. Drink plenty water trust me it can help with the cramping, no lifting and try not to have intercourse for a little while that is what I am doing let me know how you are doing.Sandra

Hello everyone. I am new to this site and I am so glad to have found it. This is my second child but that was 6 yrs ago. I was on birth control this hole time and was really surprised to find out I was pregnant. I ended up taking 7 pregnancy test. Still it took going to the doctor for it to really hit me. I was wondering I am showing a lot sooner with this one and I am due 1/23/2010. I did not show with my first one until 5 months. My clothes just don't fit right anymore. Anyone else having that problem?

Airforce020106@yahoo.com
07-14-2009, 06:49 PM
Brookecable...I know how you feel. I'm due Jan 13th 2010. Well except this is my first and I have to wear a belly band with my uniform. I'm to big to button the top 2 buttons but to small for my huge maternity uniforms. I don't understand it. It changed in just 2 weeks while I went on vacation to Florida and I'm only 14 weeks and I haven't gained any weight yet. I lost some from just nothing looking good so I didn't eat. So you are not alone and besides I heard women tend to show sooner with their second pregnancy.

So how is everyone doing in their pregnancy? It's been quiet in the forum lately. Well I'm 14w1d and my 2nd appt is tomorrow. I'm nervous to hear the heartbeat and super excited to be getting my bump. I hope all is going well for everyone here and the 1st trimester blues are almost over for mostof us.

I'm new to this forum but it's exciting to know that I can connect with other gals due in January! My due date is 1/25/2010 which means I am 12w4d along. I have always wanted to be a mommy and I'm ecstatic that it's finally happening! My husband and I got to hear the baby's heartbeat last week and yesterday we had our first ultrasound. It was stunning to see our little baby on the monitor. There are no words to describe the emotions that washed over me. I laughed when I saw the baby's profile: the kid's lips stick out almost as far as his nose! I, too, am dying to get my baby bump! I no longer fit into my pre-preg clothes so I know everything is growing like it should but it would be a lot more fun to be able to rub the bump! :o) And it would make life easier if the maternity pants would stay up! Anyway, I look forward to getting to know all you gals! Hope all is well with all of you!

I am due Jan 8th which makes me 16 weeks along, although I will more than likely be induced early. I was induced 3 weeks early with my last DD(gestational diabetes, she was 12 pounds!) and induced on my due date with my first who was 10 pounds. We are not going to find out the sex of the baby this time, it's been really fun speculating about what its going to be. I am already in maternity clothes but I'm sure thats due to my 'food baby" just as much as the actual baby bump lol. I really want to experience spontaneous labor with this one even though the hospital is 70 miles away. anyway..I am looking forward to getting to know all of you...best wishes for a healthy and happy pregnancy! Heather

So I had been hearing about the Intelligender test at Walgreens. Me and my husband were curious to see what it would say so we bought it this weekend. It said we are going to have a boy which everyone in my family says we are going to have a boy so who knows. I find out at my 20week Appt which is 5 long weeks away. I should have waited to take it. But if you ladies are curious then you might want to get it and then see if it's accurate.

Jeadra is nice to see someone else is paying attention to this thread. I felt like I was talking to no one there for a while. I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow. I'm of course showing and loving it. Plus I can feel the little bugger moving around in there. It stops moving when my husband touches my stomach though, it drives him nuts so I just laugh and say soon enough he/she will be kicking like no other and you'll be able to feel it.
Has anyone else felt the baby move yet?

Though in my 2nd Trimester I still get nauseous every now and then. I have to eat something every so often to make sure my stomach doesn't get empty. If it does I get woozy and kind of light headed and have to eat fast. I have started to gain weight back after losing 9lbs in the beginning.

We find out what we're having Aug 27th at 20weeks 2 days and everyone thinks it's going to be a boy.

Well I hope all is well with the other ladies in here.

PS: If your on a budget and if you want to get nice baby furniture for cheap me and my husband got a crib, changing table, and dresser for $230 from Wal Mart. All the reviews were great and now that we have it and it's together it looks so good in the babies room. But it doesn't convert to a bed or anything. Just go to Walmart.com and its on the first page of the cribs. Hope this helps with the few who have to budget. :-)

hi, I am also in my second trimester,I am due in January 27,I can feel her moving already, this # 5 for me after 3 m/c and we are excited,I agree Walmart is the best I saw a crib combo for $380 it does turn into a toddler bed, this baby is kicking my butt. Yeah this babies kicking my butt too. I wake up every 2 hours at night to go pee. I have never been like that before. And I'm always tired but I can't sleep. I guess the little one nudging me telling me it's ok makes up for it. I love the nudging mainly because it makes my husband mad bc he can't feel it yet and I can. I just tell him soon enough.

So this will be your 3rd baby? Congrats what are you hoping for?

airforcemommy, this is baby # 5 4 me,what about u? is this your first? how are you feeling?

Airforce020106@yahoo.com
08-10-2009, 01:43 PM
Yes this is my first. I'm so excited. The little bugger was in a weird position last night it felt like instead of across my stomach it felt like it was standing in there. It was so hard in this one spot and soft on the sides and it was uncomfortable and my husband was laughing of course because I couldn't get comfortable since nothing external was making me that way. lol. Oh well Atleast I know he/she is ok in there.

Otherwise I'm feeling great! Minus no sleep since I get up every 2 hours at night for a bathroom break and not being able to drive for long distances from motion sickness which I never had before pregnancy.

I started to wear some maternity clothes already. They are so much more comfortable then anything I've worn before.

So what about you. How are you feeling? Are you excited about #5? Is he/she nudging and moving all over?

Hey everyone. My husband and I are expecting our 1st baby on January 18th. What's funny is that we got pregnant exactly when I said I did NOT want to get pregnant. I had told him I want to get pregnant at the end of summer so I would be out about June time frame. Summer time of course. Well, this works too b/c neither one of us like the cold and here in Delaware January gets cold and windy. This is our excuse to stay in!

I really want to know what I'm having the Dr. won't do that ultrasound til I'm 20wks! I'm going nuts. He was going to have me back this week at 18 weeks but said we should wait til I'm 20wks. Ugh. So last time I went I only had a tiny little bump and he said I didn't look pregnant. But now all of a sudden this past week from last Thursday til this Monday I grew people I work with that didn't see me over the weekend were like where did that thing come from. I popped I'm 18weeks 1 day now and I look pregnant finally not just fat or bloated and it's weird we didn't know where it came from.

I love that name it's so cute and precious. I would go for it.

We are thinking

Sophie Ami or Amia for a girl
and
Liam Nicholas, Alonso, or Charles or the boys name. We can't figure out the middle name
Charles is my Dad's first name and Alonso is my husbands middle name.

What do you girls think?

Congrats Redhead have you started popping yet? I'm due the 13th.

I have been recommended to Walmart and have been aprehensive. But we are definately on a budget so spending hundreds on a crib is not an option. It is good to know someone else found it suitable...

Airforce020106@yahoo.com
08-13-2009, 12:47 PM
I love the name recommendations. I will for sure ask my husband about the Alonso Charles one. The only problem with that is his family since he's a Jr will call him Alonso. But I will for sure ask him. I like the girl one to you made me think about it alittle bit now.

I really want to know right now what we're having. It's annoying having to wait so long.

Does your baby move more when you have a full bladder like it's mad your bladder is taking up the babies room? I know it's not gas because the feeling and location. it's jsut funny how it works like that. Just curious

Demetra Wal Mart has great things for cheap but I always read the reveiws and teh crib set I bought had nothing below a 4 when I looked. I love it and the look of it. Always read the reviews if there is any.

jeadra2010
08-13-2009, 04:47 PM
yes Airforcemommy, she is moving like crazy specially when I drink cold stuff she hates it,i cannot wait to see her, when my bladder is full she is mad she needs her space to do acrobats
it is funny how your body is not yours anymore they just take over, walmart is great i saw a crib they have it is beautiful $380 it changes into a toddler bed. Let me know what you are having when you find out boy or girl as long as you have a healthy baby and a nocomplicated delivery.

Hi there everyone,

I am new to this site and it took me some time to browse around, to dig and to finally find this message board. So here I am!! This is baby number one and I am a bit apprehensive but beng of an optimistic nature, I am just taking it one day at a time and keeping my fingers crossed. It's been not bad so far: no nausea, no cravings just fatigue, abdominal cramps, joints swelling, indisgestion and some discomfort while sleeping. I experienced the quickening feeling at 12 weeks and it was amazing..just like the flutterings of a bird's wings !!! since then, on and off I've felt it. I don't know yet if it's a boy or a girl but I expect to know in the coming weeks. It feels great to talk about this pregnancy freely here with people who understand !!
Take care ladies
Congratulations to all of u
Julie

Hello mommies, nice to meet all the January moms. This is my second and i'm due Jan. 13,2010. Kinda nervous because daughter is 10. I know what a gap. I am 18weeks and can't wait to find out the sex!

Secondtimearound your due the same day as me. That's awesome kind of weird though.

I can't wait to find out what we're having. Only a week and a half left! He/she is moving so much today and it feels so weird to have something moving inside me!

I read that the bathroom brakes should be slowing down but oh my god no they are not. I haven't peed so much in my life.

Does anyone else find it hard to have to let yourself gain weight? I've had to watch my weight forever now since I can gain it super easy. I had finally gotten a 6 pack to suprise my husband when he got home from Iraq and now I have no sign of abs and it's really hard to deal with. Ugh....but in the end I know it's worth it I jsut find it hard to watch the scale go up!

Sorry, just occurred to me that I forgot to mention that my due date is Jan. 3, 2010 !! Anyone on the same date? Is this due date accurate? I mean, does it really mean that I'll deliver or start getting contractions on that day? So weird !!
Oh well, I suppose that I'll know for sure, eventually !!
Yes, airforcemommy, I do think I find it difficult to put on weight!! I am at 5 months and my belly is not that apparent. It does not look that I'm pregnant, just that I'm a bit plump... Lots of my colleagues don't know that I'm pregnant!!
On my last visit, that was 2 weeks ago, the doctor told me that I've put on less than 6 lbs but that the baby was developping normally and everything was normal.. so I guess it is a good thing that I'm not putting on too much weight yet !! Even though I feel fat and complain to my husband !! He, poor thing, keeps telling me that no, it's not that big but I don't believe him as all I can see is the bulge now !!
I have my next appointment this Thursday and I can't wait to know what is happening and when they will schedule me for the ultrasound !! I desperately want to know what it will be !!
I'll be sure to let you know as I know..so until then, sleep tight and take care ...

If I wouldn't have lost weight in the beginning my weight gain would only be 6lbs but since the weight loss it looks like I've gained 13lbs. Which is horrible for me. I miss my old body. My husband finds me attractive and loves the baby belly. I love it too but not the love handles that came back with it. I had just lost the things and they came back. Thank god for secret fit belly jeans those theings are awesome they smooth everything out and make your bump look so good without being to hot or tight. I do recommend them to every preggo women.

Anyways enough about my weight rant. I just hope my Dr. doesn't scold me for it. He is super strict about weight gain he doesn't want any health issues for the mom or baby bc of excess weight gain. So I don't want to change Dr.'s like some people say to. He's blunt and takes care of his patients.

We find out next week what it is! It's starting to drive me nuts.

And with the due date thing you can go before or after thats just the date they say your 100 ready. lol. I hope I got before but when the baby is ready of course. I'm no anxious.

Hey everyone, sorry it's been awhile. I hope everyone is doing well. Just looking through the boards everyone seems to be doing well. Things got a little crazy at work (good news for me!) I am really starting to show now. I told my wonderful husband that I am going shopping tonight for pants. When i am at home I just lounge in my yoga pants but I need work pants. I am getting anxious about Friday, we have another ultrasound. I am excited to see how our little seahorse has grown. Last time he/she looked so big (taking after daddy I guess).

Does anyone else really want to do some shopping right now? I haven't bought anything yet, eventhough I have been given somethings already by my momma. I can't wait to start buying things, but that's just my nature, I am really impatient person, so this is teaching me patience huh? lol...

Ok must finish up my day. Have a good night everyone!

Kacijane we find out what we're having the same day. You, me, and secondtime have the same due date. And don't worry about what people are saying. As long as you have good support from the people closest to you the rest of people can uhm...go away. lol. Keep your head up.

I've already gone shopping I could still fit in most of my clothes since they were to big to begin with. I just got tired of pulling up my pants and pullling down my shirt. And maternity clothes are so much more comfortable. I love the Secret Fit Belly at Motherhood. They are the most amazing pants I've ever worn.

I can't wait tilll next thursday to find out what I'm having. I took this week off from work. I was trying to sleep in this morning but the baby had other plans. He/she was moving so much I was in shock I started to cry. I mean I've felt him move but omg this morning was so much I could feel every little flip and turn.

I'm going to try an attach a belly bump pic. My hubby took it. You girls should do the same.

Trish sorry about your luck. But there is plenty of options until you can get a job and what not. The state you live in should have things for single mothers. I'm from Florida and my sister is still there. She is a single mom with no job and can't work in order to get her benifits and what not. She got WIC, Foodstamps and schooling paid for right now. She can even get a place to live if she needed it along with daycare for when she's in school. I know it's not the best way to go but it can help until you get on your feet. She really wants to work but if she does she will lose everything for her schooling. So look into options that you may have in you state.

Also when her college isn't in session she has to do volunteer work to give back to community. She wouldn't need these if it wasn't her almost drinking herself to death and other bad desicions she's made in the past. She's almost 28 and has a 1 1/2 year old daughter.

hey guys i just wanted to say maternity cloths are pretty expensive but i found that there is alot of really nice things for expecting moms at stores like the salvation army and second hand store for really cheap and most look just like new

i got myself 2 secret fit belly by motherhood jeans and 6 shirts for under 20 bucks all name brand and look unworn

just thought i would share the tip

Airforce020106@yahoo.com

I wish I had a good Salvation Army or THift Store around me. I live in the middle of no where so I had looked at them and they had nothing. I looked at Ross and only found 1 pair of pants that fit and werent hideous. But they had tons of cute shirts I bought 6 shirts, 1 jacket, and 1 pair of pants for $85. And to me that's not bad. I also found more pants at Kohls but they were more expensive then getting them from Motherhood.com. My husband let me get the stuff from Motherhood.com instead of trying to go to store to store and not find anything. So I got 3 pants, 4 or 5 shirts, undies, and a few other items for a little less then $200. Which isn't really that bad. If it was up to me I would suck it up but he wants me to look and feel good. So being a girl I just had to humor him. lol. Just look around Motherhood always has things on sale that are cute.

Sorry I babbled about the clothes. That was my experience with shopping. I'm so happy I don't need anything else for my pregnancy.

Kaci thanks for the compliment. The little one in there moves so much and really likes chocolate milk and cereal. lol. I can't wait for this Thursday what we're having. I hope the little booger doesn't decide to be stubborn and have their legs closed.

How's everyone else doing?

I do not have a Goodwill or a Salvation Army near me. :( I did do a little pregnancy clothes shopping this past weekend and found even though their selection was small, that Kohls worked for me, at least for now. I hit them during a sale and everything was about 1/2 off! I did go to Motherhood Maternity though too and they are expensive. After finding 1 or 2 things I went to the clearance rack though. What I like is that where I am, most of the fall stuff is out now, which I and my husband really like so that's a plus.
On a completely different subject though, this past Thursday I felt the baby move for the first time. It was so cool! Now, the little person wont stop kickin me. I can't wait till his/her daddy can feel it. I can tell he is getting a little jealous. We had another ultrasound on Friday and saw our little seahorse in 3D! So cool! Although, now I am frightened b/c she/he has a big head just like daddy does. OUCH!
We did get our registry started at one store and didn't realize how overwhelming it was. My wonderful husband pulled me out of my almost meltdown in the middle of the store and made it fun shooting the "gun" at both boy and girl things. Everyone is going to think we are having 2 now. Great.

Ok that's all for now. sorry so long. Have a great day everyone!

Hello, Ladies I am glad you guys are doing so well, I feel my baby moving too alot,as for clothes I love MotherHood, OldNavy, target, walmart very cheap, I myself do not like second hand clothes that is my preference. on line you tend to find them a little bit cheaper.

Airforce020106@yahoo.com
08-26-2009, 12:50 PM
If your husband is getting jealous of not being able to feel the movements tell him atleast he can kiss the baby. Yeah we mommies can feel the little booger moving all the time but he can just come up and kiss the baby belly. And I would love to do that but its impossible. Also tell them at least he gets more sleep and doesn't have to pee everytime the little one decides to kick or cuddle up with your bladder. lol. That's what I told my hubby and he stopped being pouty about it. So now he just kisses it all the time of course only when I'm trying to do something. Also let your hubby rub lotion on the belly. I let mine do it everynight. Its a way for him to bond with the baby.

So we go find out tomorrow what we're having. I can't wait. I asked the baby last night to kick once for boy and twice for girl and it kicked like 4 times. Ugh. Stubborn just like me and my husband great. Either way I can't wait to see the baby tomorrow.

20 weeks down 20 to go!

IT'S A GIRL! I'm so excited. She was kicking the ultrasound wand thing the entire time. She even head butted it when the Dr was looking at her face! She's so cute and man can she kick. It's one thing to feel it but when you can see it on the screen it makes it that much more powerful! I hope you ladies find out soon.

Put it on here when you do!

I swear sometimes she's doing jumping jacks or something. I think she's also been pinching something in there. lol. That's what it feelsl like anyways.

but i guess there is plenty of time for that
im so excited my lil boy is going to be so adorable poor thing im probley going to dive him nuts with all the cute stuff idk
but yeah im going to be a mother to a lil boy i cant believe it

Kacijane you had the same situation. Everyone was so sure it was a boy and me and the hubby were leaning more towards girl and now we have a girl.
And I wouldn't recommend the Intelligender thing it was so wrong for me it was the darkest color for boy and we have a girl on the way.
The Chinese Birth Chart was right though. It said girl for my age and the month I got pregnant. So yeah give it a try and see if it was right for you also.

but im am so glad we are having a boy so its all good lol
im so happy i know everyone else must feel the same way
knowing the gender makes this whole thing seem so much realer for me

so when (if yall are) are planing on having the baby shower

Airforce020106@yahoo.com
09-01-2009, 01:17 PM
I know how you feel knowing I'm having a little girl does make it so much more real. Like when she is in a weird place or on my bladder I can be like grrr....Sophie why are you doing this to your mommy. lol. I know it seems crazy but I like being able to have a name for the movements. I'm also scared of having a girl bc all the hormones and I can't do hair to save my life. I have mine up all the time for work. And I'm praying she doesn't have my hair. I have beyond curly wavy fluffy hair!

I plan on having my shower within the first 2 weekends of November though I want to have it now. But with work functions and everything else this was the best time. It also still gives me plenty of time to get things organized before I get to massive and tired.

Congrats to all who found out what they are having. I have to keep telling the ultrasound tech's not to tell us, since we go every 4 weeks right now. Although, the last one, my husband thinks he knows what we are having. He wont tell me, but he has said we are having a girl since July when my brother-in-law told him we were having a girl. He has been right the last 18 times in a row 2 of which were his. I still claim we are having a boy. I guess we will all find out come January. :)
Does anyone else's husband feel like he is going to hurt the baby? I just realized this is something my husband feels after I was lying on him the other night, he told me I was making him nervous. I know from friends guys get like that and I find it cute. I keep telling him that my body was made for this but he still is nervous. I think it's adorable, most of the time.

Airforce020106@yahoo.com
09-03-2009, 01:27 PM
I got lucky my husband has no worries about hurting the baby. The only thing he doesn't like is when the dog looks like she's going to jump on me. But she just bounces and hits my leg if she even jumps on me. And he hates when I get up and say ow or something he thinks somethings really wrong but it's just that something stretched when I got up and it hurts.

redheadedtexan
09-03-2009, 03:39 PM
That's good. My husband will get a little concerned if I say I hurt or say ow. For the most part I try not to let him know I am hurting. It's a pride thing with me I think. He gets really concerned though if i start crying b/c it hurts. hmmm.... we shall see how this all progresses.
I just got back from the Dr. All looks/sounds good. I love being able to tell the doc where the baby is in my stomach when he is looking for the heartbeat. What's funny is I am carrying him/her still very low and I keep reading how the uterus is now supposed to be above your belly button and my little one decides to stay down as low as possible! lol.... Come one little one you have so much room, get off my bladder already! :)
Have a great weekend everyone!

Sophie loves to sit, kick, punch, lay and do whatever on my bladder. I wish I could go an hour without going at least once. lol. She even does it at night. I wish I could tell where she is half the time. But because I'm so busy at work she tends to stay calm most of the day. Sometimes though I look more pregnant then other times since she has figured out she can go really low and far back. She loves my sciatic(spelled wrong). And likes to sit on mommies bowels so I can't go for days then she'll move and everything will be great. I know TMI but we're all going through basically the same thing. lol.

I hope everyone had a good Labor day weekend. This weekend we told the rest of our family. Turns out his dad's side didn't know we were pregnant so at a BBQ we told everyone. It was great to see all the reactions, it helps put my husband at ease a little. What was great is that all his aunts told me, "well, I was wondering but I didn't want to ask." It was great. We have started to clean out the spare room that is being turned into the baby's room. Since I am home today I think I am going to work on that room again and the basement for storage.
Have a great day everyone.

I finally got the registry done alone. I need to go to the store and start shooting things that you can't add online like diapers and socks.

We even finally started to paint the babies room. We were going to paint one wall red but didn't want it to be to dark. So instead we decided to do red & black different sized circles all over the room to look like lady bug spots.

My Little Sophie has recently started moving a lot more then before. At first I could only feel her when I was sitting or relaxed now she kicks to crap out of me walking, sitting, whenever she wants to. And she now nuzzles to her Daddies hand. We'll be watching my stomach move and bounce then he'll put his hand on her and she move close to his hand and stop. It so cute. Already a Daddies girl.

How's everyone doing?

Right now my little one is moving mainly when I am sitting relaxed or at work. I can't wait to freak my husband out when my belly starts moving. That's going to be hysterical! What's funny is that she/he is already on a nap schedule. What's funny is when we were scheduling the next ultrasound I made it for 330p, and when we got in the car I was like "well, that's stupid. The baby is still sleeping during that time." he just looked at me like I was crazy. So I had to explain, the little one takes a nap from about 230p/3p until about 430p since I eat lunch around 130p everyday. Then she/he is awake from then until just after dinner and is sleeping about 9p. Let's just hope we keep this kind of schedule. ha ha ha...
We still have to go to 1 more store for the registry. We have been on a full baby kick lately, so I am still giving my hubby time to do things, not baby before we jump back on it. Although, I have been told my shower is early November so we need to get going on it.
Good thing is that we went and bought living room furniture on Friday, so soon I wont have to walk from the basement up to the 3rd floor when I am ready to sleep. That was starting to get more and more difficult. :)

These next 3 weeks are going to be so hard for me. My husband is at training for 3 weeks and will be home on the weekend. Well every morning my dog has to be put in the garage this wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't a 65lb Lab/Boxer mix who you have to half way pick up and walk in there. I've had to do it the last 2 morning and it's not easy. I have a belly now that seems to be growing like no other and she's heavy. And I can't not put her in there because I have to work all day and she digs in the yard and if we leave her in the house the house would be a mess. I can't wait for her to get old and fat. Back before I got pregnant she was so easy to move in there because I was in shape. Ugh. I seriously hate when my husband is gone. I miss him being around the house and there to help me do things that are hard for me or I'm not supposed to do.

Sorry I'm just being a baby this morning but I miss my hubby. And I think my baby does to. She hasn't stopped moving since he left and she normally stops at night after he rubs lotion on my belly. Oh well. I like the military but not right now. lol

Welcome mckenziesmom, don't worry we'll talk your ears off here. :)
Airforce I am sorry to hear your hubby is gone right now. I think it's great your little one knows when her daddy is gone. Mine on the other hand will be kicking up a storm like last night and the minute I put my hubby's hand on my belly, she/he stops. lol... it's frustrating and funny at the same time. I know what you mean about the belly thing, mine seems to be getting in the way a bit right now. I am carrying my little one VERY low and so it makes it hard to walk up/down stairs and we have a 3 story house. What I find funny is that every night around 930p/10p my husband and I have "tea time" to wind down the day, as I am waiting for mine to cool my little one starts to kick up a storm until I start drinking it. it's like it puts her/him to sleep too. Kinda neat just thought I would share.

Hello,

It's been quite a while since I've been here. I've been busy with my work and doing stuff at home and was so tired at night that I could barely keep my eyes open. Hi Christen, my due date too is Jan 3rd and so far I've been doing ok. I hope you are ok too. I went for my ultrasound and I was so looking forward to know whether we r getting a boy or a girl.. but sniff sniff unfortunately, the baby ws in a breech position and was presenting us its bum !! And we could not determine the sex !! So frustrating !! Anyway I have since resigned myself to a surprise now!!
Take care ladies
Until the next time

I'm ok with him being gone it makes me appreciate the things he does when hes home more. He already has another class scheduled for March-April time frame so by then I'll be a SAHM with a 2 almost 3 month old. He'll still coming home on the weekends. It sucks because I was going to take online classes after getting out and he was going to be home at night so I can take one in the classroom and get a break from the house. So I don't know how that's going to work when he goes. We'll see I guess. I like the extra travel money he gets from it. It's going towards paying off a few things for when we lose my income in January.

Red my baby just now went to sleep after I swear being a wake for 2 days. She always stops when he puts his hand on my stomach it saves me a couple bathroom visits. My favorite thing so far is every morning my little Sophie decides she wants to be a little gymnast and it's amazing to just lay there and watch my stomach move and feeling it I'm still getting used to what it feels like having something move inside me.

Julie- One of my friends who is due Jan 16th is having so many issues trying to see her baby's sex. She has had 3 ultrasounds now trying to figure it out, but the little booger keeps being in a weird position. She's also caring very low and towards her back so she doesn't even look 5 1/2 months pregnant AT ALL! She wants to know since she already has 2 girls and really wants a boy. I wish I could let it be a suprise, but I just had to know what she was for sure.

I took a break from all my ordering. How are all you ladies doing? I see most of you are doing good. Not to much longer for us!

Hi again everyone I hope everybody has been doing well. Red I understand yours and you husbands frustrations completely when it comes to your little one moving for daddy. Mine is working out of town until she is born but on the rare occasion he does get to come home to visit he tries his absolute hardeset to feel her kick unfortunately everytime his hand touches where she is kicking she stops lol He has only felt her move twice and both were on accident I tell Jamie not to worry about her not "interacting" with him like she does me because he will get more than enough interaction with her once she is here lol

Julie I cannot complain too much about my pregnancy my main two complaints are that my feet are swelling really bad and I can only see my feet when i put them up lol i swear i do not look like I am in my sixth month at all I look more like Im in my seventh or eighth month I am starting to worry I may have too much amniotic fluid or that I have the jolly green giant in me lol

o and airforce I feel your pain when it comes to your hubby being away from home but at least he does get to come home on the weekends you have to be thankful for that mine is gone until the end of January and can only come home for holidays and her birth so trust me i understand how frustrating it is and I also have a large dog that depends on me to care for him he is a 100 pound american bulldog named spanky lol he is the biggest baby and loves his mommy he hasnt really grasped why it is that he cant sit in my lap anymore or play chicken with me or hug me so good luck with the dog situation also lol

Hello ladies,

Thx!! It's quite a relief to hear that I am not alone in this long haul and that it does happen every now and then that the baby is in a weird position and that it's not just me !! My mother -in-law was just freaking me out when we told her that we could not see and what position the baby was in !! She never had those issues I think !! I don't think in her time, they had ultrasounds either !! Anyway , it's kind of reassuring for me as I was thinking that maybe there was something wrong. So thx again !!
Anybody's been getting aching hip joints on both sides ?? I started getting them because of my sleeping positions as I just alternate between the left and right side and now I no longer know how to sleep to avoid the pain. Anybody has an idea that she wants to share ??? Pls do do.
Hang in there ladies, especially if your hubbies are not there. My husband works night shifts and I work during the day so we normal see other for like 1 hr in the afternoon and sometimes 15 mins in the morning when i am on the point of leaving home, so I know what it feels like a little bit to do everything alone. I have a dog too to care for. Thank god he's a small poodle of 14 lbs .. so at least I can still play with him and he does put his head in my lap !!
Enjoy the week end

I am very happy my hubby gets to come home on the weekends. My dog can get her Daddy fix so she will leave me alone for the weekend. She is so evil. When I got to grab her and put her in the garage she lays down on her back and puts her paws up like and upside down bug.lol. She's so weird. What does you husband do for him not to be home? He sounds like he's military to me. A girl I know got pregnant right before her husband went to the desert in June so she's alone the entire pregnancy also and he will make it home for the birth. I feel so bad for women that have to be without their husbands during pregnancy. Good luck.

I've been getting horrible sharp pains down my lower back-butt-down leg when I walk. Nothing really helps though. My hips hurt maybe once a day(depends) then I just lay down for a sec and it stops for the most part. Or I waddle to make it not hurt so bad and of course people I know laugh at me. And try putting a pillow in between your legs when you sleep that helps a bit with the hips.

I've gained like 17lbs but I don't know where. I have a belly but not huge and everything else has lost some muscle tone but I don't look that different besides belly. I walk a lot and do other things to keep in shape and even changed my eating but my weight still seems to be creeping up on me. Anyone else have this issue.

Oh by the way my names Amy so you don't have to call me Airforce unless you want to.

Amy your dog sounds like mine when my husband tries to do anything with her. When you go to put your dog in the gargage she is going into a submissive state, basically telling you she respects you but still doesn't want to go. Try tugging gently on her collar until she gets up on her own. It take some patience but it will work eventually. Just a little help from by no means a dog expert. I have 1 dog that is my little girl and protective of me and the baby belly or jealous too. Then 1 dog that is my husbands and just wild and crazy unless he's around. He has his moments.
I know that the 4 lbs I have gained so far is all in the belly. People keep asking me if I am eating b/c I am loosing weight. The girls here at work and my hubby's side of the family keep telling me I am all baby, which I am fine with b/c I want to gain as little as possible since I have a hard time (read: lazy) loosing weight. :)

Jamie is a welder of some sort he doesn't let me work anymore and i am in college so he goes out of town alot for his company. I hate this company though I wish we could find him another job they threatened to fire him if he took off work the day of our first ultrasound and now the job he is at now is in Delhi, LA and it was only supposed to be a four week job and he was supposed to be able to come home every weekend but now they have extended the time and the hours he works he is home this weekend but i will not be able to see him I am staying at my moms until he comes home and we can move and I usually go stay with him at his moms house when he comes home unfortunately I have been showing the early symptoms of the swine flu so he cant see me and risk gettin sick my doctor has prescribed a strong antibiotic that will more than likely dehydrate me and make me feel worse than I already do which is hard to believe but it is supposed to be able to get rid of it fairly quick so I have my fingers crossed. I have also had the sharp pains down my back and into my leg when I walk they are the worst when I wake up my mom says that it sounds like the same pain she has in her siatic (prob spelled wrong) nerve that is damaged she says it is probably just that the baby has been putting pressure on it when she is in certain positions.I cannot feel my baby move anymore and the doctor said it is because my placenta is in the front has anybody else had this problem or heard of it it worries me that I cant feel her and I dont know if the placenta being in front can cause any issues later

I just have to brag a minute about my wonderful husband. When we came home from game night at a friends house last night, I was treated to a wonderful surprise. He had taken it upon himself to clean off a piece of furniture in the baby's room and move it to the living room for me and then put all the stuff back on it. I was for sure this was going to have to wait until a buddy of his could come help him move it b/c it's too heavy for me and he did it all by himself! Muscles! And on top of that he cleaned the kitchen and dusted the ceiling fans for me. He's so wonderful. Now my living room is all ready to get the new furniture delivered on Wednesday! I'm so excited. Baby furniture is still waiting for a few more months until my in-laws buy the crib and my parents buy the changing table and dresser.
Aww, Mckenziesmom I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. There are times I can't feel my baby move either and it worry's me at first then I remember how protected she/he is in there and I may be distracted with work or cleaning to feel her/him move. If your doc is saying it's the placenta being in the front I would trust it. Then again, I trust my doc ultimately from the start he has had nothing but my well-being in mind.

I have tried the collar thing and it doesn't work so well. She is jsut a stubborn beast. lol. She is the sweetest dog to me but crazy with my husband it's funny. I know it's only because I'm pregnant bc when he was deployed and I got her she was jsut as crazy with me. Now she just lounges next to me and bugs him.
McKenzie I'm sorry your so sick. That has to really suck since your Hubby isn't there to take care of you. And with the baby moving trust your Dr. he/she should know what their talking about.

I wish I had only gained 4lbs. I've gained about 20lbs but I also lost 9lbs in the 1st trimester so really I've only gained 11lbs. But whatever I don't look 5 months 3 weeks pregnant from what I've been told. Every one who asks me how far I am they go no way, when I was that far I was twice your size. I guess it is all baby belly. I've only lost some toning in my thighs since I had to stop running and of course my abs. But I can still wear my prepreggo shirts(the longer ones) and a few pairs of my low rise jeans. So Who knows where the weight has been put. But my Dr. is crazy about how fast I had gained the weight so now I have to eat a salad a day, lots of veggies, fruits and lean protiens. I was eating healthy before he said that but I'm doing so even more now. I tried telling him that I gain weight fast when I can't run and work out like I was. Oh well I'll listen to him and keep doing what I've been doing. How are you ladies doing with the weight issue? I hate it. I was so in shape. I've never been skinny I have a lot of curves but it was all toned and nice. :-( Oh well It's worth it. I can't wait for Sophie to get here!

So we had another ultrasound this past Friday. It took over an hour, like always for us b/c our little monkey wouldn't hold still! lol... Then the girl was having a hard time getting a picture of the nose and mouth (she was a student). Our little monkey is 1 lbs (which explains where that weight came from.) We are both thinking we are having a boy but still aren't sure. We again aren't finding out. He/she has my husband nose and most of the features right now is identical to my husband. She/he loves to have her hands in her mouth or over his face. We go back in 4 weeks again which is so cool b/c I can see the changes in the baby every month.
I hope everyone is doing well. We still have not finished our registry and the invites for the shower are going out next weekend. LOL... guess we got work to do. We still have to clean out the room and paint too!
We were talking last night and I brought up the fact to my husband that we are giving birth in January and here it snows a bunch normally in January and we live 45 min from the hospital. This of course makes me nervous eventhough he nor my doctor are worried. I just don't want there to be a big snow storm and we get stuck. :)

So I think my daughter is going to be a kick boxing, swimmer, or does gymnastics they way she has been moving. It's beyond nuts how much she jumps around in my. I'll reading and my stomach will start to go nuts. lol. I love it though.

We still haven't finished painting the babies room. But we have been shopping for cute little outfits like crazy but decided we need to stop until after the baby shower and my mom sends her box of stuff from her and my aunt. So for now we are looking into buying the crib and changing table mattress then after that we're done until after the shower. I love shopping for cute little pink things.

I had my appt today heard the heart beat and made sure I was growing right. Everything seemed fine. I've gained 23lbs so far but I don't look like it. My face has only changed a little and my arms and legs are the same as before sinceI started working them out again. And from what my friends have told me I'm all belly and hips now. Oh well. I know I'll lose it all eventually. I'm eating healthy and working out so I'll be fine.

How's everything with you ladies? Everyone getting big? lol

I also think I am carrying around a small ninja in my belly lol she kicks so hard now you can see limbs pokin out of my belly I haven't really gotten that into the shopping thing yet because we aren't going to be in our own house until Feb when Jamie comes home so I can decorate my room here at my mom's but it's in a different theme so not really the same lol She does however have more clothes and shoes than anybody I have ever seen in my life and we haven't even had the shower yet. I haven't went back to the doc yet but as of the begining of this month I had gained 15 pounds and it's all belly lol I really want to start walking or something but it is entirely too hot to walk down the road like I used to and since I can no longer see my feet I'm worried about the snakes that cross in the afternoons so maybe when it cools off i will finally get to walk again lol :)

So I went to the Dr and I weighed 165lbs. Which I knew already but not I'm weighing myself at 160lbs? I'm so confused and my belly has gotten no to out but more up and looks smaller. The babies still moving like crazy and I can feel her high up but I'm just confused on how I lost 5lbs and my belly looks smaller? I even asked my hubby and one of my friends and they agree. Who knows.
I was awalking everyday but my back and tail bone started to hurt really bad. So I try to limit walking so they don't hurt so bad.
I have no issues seeing my feet yet. My Hubby said when I can no longer see my feet he will help me with my shoes and things.

24weeks 4 days done not to much more to go. How Exciting!

Oh and the best thing happened yesterday. MY HUSBAND BECAME A U.S. CITIZEN! He's from Nicaragua and in the AF like me but he finally got sworn into the U.S.!

Congrats to your hubby Amy! That's fantastic!
Well, I just realized the other day that I am 24 weeks pregnant and have only 4 months to go! I have my overwhelmed days and not so bad days either. I find it funny that if I get on the scale at home, I have to lean forward a bit to see the number b/c the belly is in the way! lol... Luckily I can still put my own shoes on but that wont last too much longer. It's getting cooler here now which is great b/c we sleep with the windows open and the fans on at night, hubby sometimes gets up and turns them off but for the most part its cooler in the house for me! :) This little one is just a moving around in there and I find it funny I can see the belly moving sometimes. I challenge my husband to place his head on my belly to see if he could hear the heartbeat, I'll let yall know how that goes! I think it will be funny if the baby clocks him one in the head! :) sick, yes but entertaining for me. lol... Well that's all for now. Getting so excited the rooms are getting cleaned out to make room for the baby and all the carpets cleaned for Christmas. Sad I know but that is all what we want for Christmas. Very excited today, doing more excerises to get me stronger for this labor.
Have a great day everyone!

My daugher kicked my husband in the head last night when he put his head on the belly. It was so funny we were laughing. She kicked me in the ribs today for the first time. I was like ow that didn't feel very good at all little missy. lol. We are almsot done painting the room. I want it done by my shower in November so we have been trying to work on it.

I can still see my feet with no problem everyone tells me I'm small for 25weeks. But I don't feel small. But oh well. I get so winded these days just walking around and omg the back pain in aweful. If I'm on my feet to much the rest of the day I'm in horrible pain. It's even gotten to the point where If I stand on one foot to take off my shoes it hurts so bad. Good thing I have a great hubby and he's starting to take off my boots for me. But I still have to put on the darn things on for work.

So did anyone get the 2nd trimester engery the books so we were supposed to get? I got nothing but less sleep, more peeing, and horrible back pain. lol. But Oh well it will be over soon and I will have an amazing little one and still get no sleep and have back pain. :0)

Well he didn't see if he could hear the heartbeat but I did get him to feel him/her kick for the first time the other night. I was laying on the couch and she was kicking really hard that you could see it so I grabbed his hand and put it on my stomach. At first he was pressing on me, I'm like "you just have to rest your hand, don't press." and just as he let up, the baby kicked him! He got this goofy looking grin and terrified look in his eyes. Just as the baby kicked him again he kinda giggled my stomach and was playing around going "hey, don't kick your daddy." so the baby kicks him again! I was on the verge of tears it was so amazing. I have been waiting for that moment for 6 months!
Well, I just got back from the doc. Everything looks great, blood pressure, pee stick all that stuff. Good strong heartbeat and everything. Darn it! I just forgot to ask him, bug him, if there was any sign I could go early. I guess it's too early to tell. I kinda want to be induced, I'm controlling and a planner that way. Plus in January it just makes me feel better knowing when I will go into labor.
Has anyone started to look for a pediatrician yet? I have a question about traveling with a baby and need to have it answered before I give birth.

I love when she goes crazy with kicking, punching, turning, and just moving in general. I wish she would kick when my husband puts his hand on my stomach she stops and calms down. lol. But I loved when she kicked him in the head it was so funny.

I already know who the Dr.'s going to be since I have to go to the base Dr. I think the best bet would be to ask your friends in your area who already have kids and see if they recommend anyone. Or google Dr's and then look at their reveiws. That's what I did for my OB I asked some of my friends who have babies here who'd they go to and if they liked them and that's how I chose my Dr. Good luck.

Oh and I wanna know if I'm going to go early or if I can. lol. I'm going to start leave(vacation) Dec 21-Jan 8th. And I'm due Jan 12th or 13th. So since the week I start leave I'll be 37 weeks and it's safe to go into labor at that time. I'm going to try what I can to have the baby this year. lol. But we'll see. If she's anything like me she'll be stubborn and will end up coming out late.

IHave you ever just asked a question to someone you really wish you hadn't? I asked a client a personal question today and he good naturedly answered it and then asked it back to me, which of course I answered. Shortly, after he left I called an apologized and told him it would not happen again, but what the hell? I can't control my mouth now?! I need to learn to think before I speak!

Alright I would love to get some sleep soon. The last couple of nights I have had the worst back pain imaginable. I toss and turn all night trying to get comfy just to finally get up at 4am, walk around and get back in bed. GRRR.... Hubby is great to take a massager to my back but I told him next week I am going to get a real one! lol... Now if this little bugger would stop kicking me all night then I would be ok! I guess she/he is going to be more like his daddy and stay up all night.

Redhead I know how you feel with lack of sleep. I just figured out how I sleep better. It sucks but I can't cuddle with my husband. If I do, I wake up a lot. If I don't I only wake up once and twice in the night. I make up the cuddles in the morning though.
Also I found that not eating like a hour or so before I go to sleep helps her not kick so much. She does still wake me up at 5 or 530 in the morning though. Which is fine since I have to get up for work at 6.

But for my excitement! I FELT HICKUPS FOR THE FIRST TIME! lol. I feel like a nerd but this morning I was sitting in my office and I felt this constant thump I first thought she was hitting me in the same spot then realized it was way to small and timed out perfectly. lol. It was great.

Also I started my Bradley Birthing Class last night and it's awesome. I love the relaxation portion at the end where you lay down and your couch has to massage you. lol.

No hiccups over here yet but this little one loves to punch and kick me in my who-ha! lol... I'm like next time you do that I'll just have an arm dangling out of me! lol... We go for another ultrasound on Friday. I'm so excited. It's funny b/c we have an ultrasound every month since the beginning and it's cool to see the development of the baby. The shower is the first weekend in November and my mom, sister and my nephew are coming up to be here for it. I am so excited. I was watching my belly move all around yesterday and this weekend. At first it was creepy but then became cool.
Well, that's about it for now I guess. Nothing major happening right now just wanted to update.
Amy, did I read you are a firefighter on your base or work in that area? That's awesome! Be safe!

redheadedtexan
10-13-2009, 04:36 PM
No my insurance covers it all because I am high risk due to other medical issues I have. It's really nice. A friend of mine's insurance would only cover so many as well which caused her not to find out the sex. It's a nice feature, I really enjoy it so I guess being high risk has it's benefits.

Airforce020106@yahoo.com

No I'm not a Firefighter. But my job directly deals with the trucks and other vehicles. So when we had the fire here on base we were working a lot. My husband is a mechanic for the vehicles. So we were soooo tired that week. But they finally realized that I was 6 1/2 months pregnant and shouldn't be working those long hours and sent me home.

Anyways. I wish I could get one every month. We've had 2 one in the 1st trimester and one to find out the sex at 20 weeks. But this Saturday is my Hubbys 23rd bday and we are going to pay out of pocket for a 3d/4d ultrasound. So he gets to see his daughter on his bday. I thought it would be special. He knows about it but I scheduled it then told him.
Redhead just wait to feel the hiccups she has them about everyother day now. I love it! My hubby got to feel them the other day and had the biggest grin.
And about your little one hitting your hoohoo as I call it is funny. I swear mine does too. It makes me jump when she does it. It feels really uncomfortable when she does it. But she has been everywhere lately.

Have you girls been feeling the little one everywhere? Like they are just to big now and they kick all over the place?

redheadedtexan
10-16-2009, 09:39 AM
ha ha. How nice of them to "realize" you are 6 1/2 months pregnant. wow. That's a neat present you are giving your husband for his birthday. I hope you both enjoy it. It's really cool to see the baby in 3d. They do that for us when we go for our pictures. What's really cool is where we go, they will put all the pictures onto a disc for you so you have them for later.
Let me tell you, this little bugger has been all over. I lay on my left side, she/he kicks me and move to the right. I lay on my right side she/he kicks me until I roll on my back. Sleeping is only comfy on my right, which from what everyone tells me is the exact opposite of how I should be sleeping. But guess what everyone, if it means I can sleep then darn it that's how I am sleeping! LOL...
The other things that cool is you can really see the tummy moving and it distracts me at home and the girls at work catch me staring at it and call me out. My husband noticed it last night and was like "what are you staring at?" so I told him how you can see the belly move when the baby kicks me and it totally creeped him out. :) It's really funny.
Well, must get dressed, glucose test and ultrasound today then game night!
Have a great day everyone!

People at work look at me funny because I'm obsessed with touching and rubbing my belly. I love her so much already. My Hubby likes to see my belly move he finds it funny. And she always does it at night til morning then some through out the day. But at night and in the morning it looks like she's going to crawl out of my stomach. lol. I love it though. She has a set pattern as to where she is during different times of the days.

Anyways yay to being 27w3d! Only 13.5 weeks to go and she'll be here. I haven't had my Glucose test yet. Who knows when he'll give me the lab to do it. I hope he forgets about it and doesn't remember until it's way to late I don't see him again til I'm 28w6d so we'll see. lol. I don't want it. I don't do well with sugar. I drank a Sunny D and it had 31g carbs at 28g sugar so thats 59g of sugar and I thought I was going to die. I was light headed and my tummy started to turn. And it's not bc I'm preggo I've always been like that. Oh well.

Good Luck on your Glucose Test Redhead! And if I get a chance I'll put teh pics of the 3d on here.

Let me tell you, I love being pregnant but if this kiddo wakes me up again at 4am by kicking me like crazy I am going to go nuts. I think she was kicking me mainly b/c I was having some of those "fake" contractions. Hurt like crazy. Only lasted a few minutes each but still. Then when they would go away he would start kicking and rolling over. making it more difficult for me to sleep.
Most of the girls I work with have had kids to so they get that I constantly have my hands rubbing my belly. I think it feels cool.
I think the Glucose test went ok. It sucked b/c I wasn't allowed to eat before I went in, then drank this stuff that tasted more like syrup than anything. When I got home my husband was like "you look tired." I was pale b/c they took 5 viles of blood and I hadn't eaten anything. I haven't gotten the results but I live by "no news is good news." besides I go to the doc next Friday. He'll tell me then.
Just my little update. Hope everyone else is doing ok

I know how you feel. My Braxtin Hicks is only when I've been walking a lot or working out. It isn't to bad yet. She just likes to move. I've been eating a lot of Bananas and she jumps around like crazy when I do that. She also loves to sit in my right so when I'm relaxing and that means all night while I'm sleeping I have a baby on my side.
Me and my hubby painted my belly like a pumpkin tonight. It turned out really cute. I'll attach it to this so you guys can see it. He had to shower with me to get the paint off since I can't see the bottom of my belly to wash it all off. lol.
Only 11w2d left till I see my little Sophie!

How cute the two of you painted your belly. I think it's great how involved your hubby is with the pregnancy. That's awesome. I threatened my husband I was going to do this for Halloween.
I haven't had anymore Braxton-hicks lately which is nice. Our little one likes to move and kick if I lay on my right side. So I try and lay on my left so I can sleep but if I am still awake and laying on the couch on my left she/he kicks up a storm. It's so cool. I have started to stare at my belly to watch it move when our little "spider monkey" moves and kicks. It's creepy and cool at the same time. I tried to have my SIL feel the baby and everytime she put her hands on my belly he/she would stop. It was funny and frustrating at the same time cause I really want her to feel it and so does she.
I can't wait to meet our little spider monkey. 3 months just seems like so long to wait but this whole pregnancy has gone by really fast so these last few months will too I am sure.
I am really excited b/c the shower is in 2 weeks and my mom, sister and nephew are all flying in for it. I so need a good dose of family it sickening.

HAHA My daughter always stops kicking when someone besides me or my husband puts there hand on my belly. I have a guy at work that really wants to feel her kick. I've worked with him for 3 1/2 years now and hes like my Dad here. lol. But she never lets hime feel her. It's annoying since he's the one who wants to buy everything for her. Also my friend that's doing my shower has only felt her once. Oh well it happens.
You should really paint your belly it was so much fun. But not so easy to get off.
I wish my family could fly here for the shower but they are going to wait til after she's born to come out here. Which I understand, but it also sucks because I haven't seen then since July when I was like 3 months pregnant if that. I would love my dad here.
I failed my 1 hour Glucose Test which sucks, so now next week I have to do the 3 hour one here on my base. Let's hope I pass it I don't want GD or a large baby!

Well, glucose tests came back good. Doc said he will NOT induce me in December (bummer) like we wanted. Who knows the baby may decide to come early anyways. The only way he would induce me before 39 weeks is if my blood pressure goes up again. I am total stoked about my family coming up for the shower. Mom, dad and Grandmother get to come up still after the baby is born and then my other sister is coming up too after them. That and I just found out my best friend is coming up to visit for like a week while I am out. It was supposed to be a surprise but she can't keep a secret! We grew up 2 houses apart and have always been close for almost 30 years now! YEAH!
Going to do some much needed retail therapy this weekend with the girls. Mom wants a new outfit for the shower and said she pay so why not? I'm bragging a little but I am completely excited! So much shopping tomorrow and then later this week the hubby and I are going to look at paint for the baby's room and hopefuly start painting. I would like to atleast have it painted before the shower. I have painted a lot in my life and with his help should be able to whip it out.

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well.
Had the shower this weekend. My aunt surprised me by coming in on Friday and my mom and sis and nephew came in on Saturday. The party was a lot of fun. Lots of gift cards instead of things off the registry. Annoying a bit but that's ok I guess. Ultrasound and doctors appointment this week. Can't believe only 2 months left. Time has flown by! I am excited to see this little person I have become so attached to but at the same time I have loved being pregnant and feeling all the kicks and flips and stuff that I am not ready for it to end.
Hope you are all feeling well. Talk to you later!

Hi ladies, my due date is Jan. 29.. this is baby number 8 for me..well actually i adopted 2 kids 9 years ago so i guess physically this makes 6.. I am 38 and feelin old ! this was a shocker for me. But all has went well until a couple weeks ago when my doc thought i was developing toxemia.. so off work he took me and now I play couch potato.. yeah kinda hard to do in my house..I am dilated to 2cm and feeling good that I am a quarter of the way there..think this little bundle of joy is going to be coming quicker than expected

Hey Ladies. I haven't been on here in a while. Been super busy. So today marks 40weeks for me and still no baby. She is quite stubborn. My appt yesterday I was barelt 1cm dialated 80% almost 90% effaced and she is -1 station. My Dr thinks any day now. But for now I'm back at work I took 3 weeks off hoping she would come while I was off but nope I'm had to go back to work good thing is I'm still on half days. I hope all is well with everyone else!

Congrats! I had my little girl 5 days late on Jan 17th at 1058pm. She's perfect! I love being a mom though it does get stressful. But everything was worth it!
