So tired of waiting

I had my son on march 28. He was 2pnds 4oz and has been in the NICU since than. His daddy is in prison for multiple traffic violations, and it is hard to go through this alone. He is going to all bottles tomorrow, but seems to have alot of trouble keeping himself warm, so he is still in the incubator. Does anyone know how big babies usually are before they can keep themselves warm enough to come out of the incubator??? He is right at 4pnds today.

One of the twins was 4lbs 10oz and still had a hard time keeping the temp under control- but she didn't need to be under the lights all the time. So hold on, he'll be ready before you know it. And hang in there, I know it's tough. :)

thanks. He went all the way down to 28.5 today and he has to be down to 28 to go into a open crib, so he is getting close. One of the nurses said he could be home as soon as next week. yay. I hope so.
