Thankfully, my DD seems to be learning to sleep through the night at 12 weeks finally. However, because of this I wake up with very full breasts. Sometimes it's quite uncomfortable (it may even hurt on the sides). I read that after a while my body should adjust to the demand (or lack of) at night. Is this true? Will my body learn not to make extra milk at night so that I don't wake up uncomfortable?

On the plus side, after I feed my daughter in the morning, I have plenty of milk to pump out, and then can have bottles stored up in the freezer for when I need them!

yes your body will adjust to the demand or lack there of. the process just sucks. take a hot shower, that helps. however keep in mind that if you pump all the extra milk out your body will continue to make it and pumping after she feeds will increase your supply. I tried pumping after my son fed for weeks after he was born but to no avail. I simply wouldn't make enough to satisfy him. so after a couple weeks when he wasn't gaining weight I gave in and fed him formula. now he only breastfeeds at night when trying to sleep or when he's sick. now it's more a comfort thing than for feeding. congratulations on your successful breastfeeding! I wish I had been able to breastfeed exclusively.
