Hi parents,
I just need some advice from all the parents out there.
My 4 years old son has been coughing for 2 months plus now.
Been to see the doctor before, but he say everything is good.
But he never did a thorough checkup though..
Do you think I should sent him to the hospital?
Oh btw, his cough is dry.
Please advice...

Do you have any pets? The cough could be caused by allergies. Is this cough accompanied by any other symptoms? Sneezing, itchy watery eyes, rashes, stuffy nose? Eczema counts as a rash BTW.

When I was 12/13 I had a cough that I couldn't get rid of. Went to the pediatric clinic 3 times, a regular doctor 3 times, tried every OTC medicine for colds/coughs/EVERYTHING.. & it turned out I had acid reflux. That was back when it wasn't very common & Prilosec was a SUPER strong prescription that was ridiculously expensive. Anyways I always ate very well & didn't have alot of caffeine, just bad genes(from my dad)..& had no clue what heart burn was. I would reccomend going to an Ear, Nose , & Throat(ENT) specialist. If it weren't for that doctor I might not be alive today because I would wake up not being able to breathe & almost passing out because I couldn't get any oxygen! I had to sleep in my moms bed with it elevated for about 3 or 4 months because that is how long it took before we broke down & went to the ENT. Now my immune system is destroyed from all the medication I took b/c other doctors & the OTC stuff. Needless to say if you think something is up, don't waste your time...if you feel you need a second opinion or a specialist go!!
