Time out on the potty or wipe.

We've tried that... We've made him sit there til he wipes, but he will sit there for hours - literally. We've tried the reward program - He'll get a new matchbox car if he does it by himself for a week... We're running out of ideas.

What a stubborn lil toot! JK Has anyone taught him how? Like how to wrap the TP so that it is less messy?

LOL - He really is stubborn. And lately he's just been getting up off the toilet w/o wiping! I'm at a loss....
Yeah, his dad showed him how to wrap the TP and he just wants his dad to do it for him. We haven't caved in weeks, but it's getting stressful.

We bought our son those flushable wipes and called them his "big boy wipes" that only he got to use, not his baby brother. Pretty soon I had to put them up because he wiped EVERY TIME he went in the bathroom even when he hadn't used the toilet. But it worked like a charm

We made a game out of wiping at our house. My son was being lazy too but we made a deal that he needed to try it first and then we would help afterward to make sure he was clean. I also found this new color changing soap to wash his hands with if he did a good job, otherwise he had to use the regular boring soap. Seemed to do the trick and now he finally will pull his own pants up too!
Oh the joys after potty training.
Good luck!

That's a great idea, too. We'll have to try the wipes and the color changing soap. Although, he will pull his own pants up - just not a wiper... lol

My son was the same way so we asked him why, and he said he didn't want to get poop on his hands. That's when we bought himt he flushable wipes.
