Help! My daughter is 12.5 mos. old and I have tried to switch her from her formula (Enfamil Nutramigen) to whole milk. When I tried the first time, I mixed half formula with half whole milk. About 3 hours after I gave it to her, she vomited. I waited a couple of weeks and tried again and she refuses to drink it. Since then I have tried soy milk, a step 2 formula, and Pediatric drinks and she still will not drink them. Once she takes a drink and realizes it is not her formula she pushes it away and shakes her head "NO"! I am open to any suggestions, Please!!

Maybe try a more gradual approach to mixing in the milk so that the change in flavor is less noticeable to her?

My son was the same way. Would not drink whole milk if his life depended on it, excpet for one brand. Promised Land Milk. It costs more, so when we had the money we bought that and when we didn't regular milk with sugar free chocolate or strawberry syrup. Now that he is old enough to drink 2%, he drinks it without a problem, and still won't drink whole milk.

My daughter had to drink Nutrimigen too and I had to switch her to a regular formula before going to whole milk. The gentle formulas taste so different than the regular ones. Mixing the formula and milk will make them vomit, but mix half Nutrimigen and half regular formula, and every couple of bottles increase the regular formula amount until you are completely on plain formula. After about a week, try the milk again. It worked great for me! Good Luck!!!
