I read up above that you are trying to adopt? i was just curious to see how that was coming along?

I have 3 daughter (all biological,) but my sister is looking at adoptions, so i'm just keeping my eye out for the topic

Hi 3princecesses!
Right now we are about to have our home studies done then we will officially be on the 'waiting list'. We are choosing to adopt through a public agency. We looked at international adoptions, and private domestic adoptions but both seemed to have bigger cons than pros for us (ie. the cost, the requirements for international adoptions, and with the private domestic adoptions 1. were also expensive but 2. is greatly scared us that we could put all that money in and than the birthmother could change her mind and we wouldn't get our money back). We were unsure of our decision at first because we want a girl who is younger than our daughter (to keep the birth order). But we found out that the wait is just about the same as if we had done an international or private adoption.
What kind of adoption is your sister looking at?

We haven't even begun the process yet, but adoption is our goal! We have been TTC for 15 months now, but that is not the reason we want to adopt! I have always wanted to adopt , whether I had kids or not, & when I met my fiance I was shocked to learn he had always wanted to too!! He told me the other day that he thought we should start the process as soon as we get married in October & I totally agree! I just think it is the BEST gift ever. To give a child a chance at life......what could be more awesome?? Anyways I am kind of overwhelmed with the thought of trying to start the whole process & all the paper work, legal stuff, etc, but I know it will be totally worth it!! Please share all the info you can because we have no clue what we are doing just yet.lol!!! Oh & congrats on getting started!:)

Hi! Seems like this is the "waiting room" for adoptions. We've been on the wait list to adopt from China for over 3 years now. We had our bio son during the wait.
