My daughter, Adie, just turned 2 in January and has been showing interest in potty training since she was 17 months. I finally decided it was time to kick it into gear when she would take her diaper off every time she wet it. For her birthday, I purchased Dora and Ariel undies for her. The first time I put them on her, I told her Dora (or Ariel) would be sad if she pee'd on her. Now, every time she puts new undies on she says "No peeing on Dora (or Mermaid if that's what she is wearing)." Now she rarely has accidents. Who knew it would work?

Same thing worked for our DD! Once she was regularly going in the potty (and not just by accident) I took her to pick out big girl panties. She picked out Disney princesses and Dora. I told her the first time she wore a pair that she can't go pee pee on Dora, that will make Dora feel icky. Now, every time she puts on panties she said "No pee pee on Dora/Ariel/Snow White, no icky!". She is down to 1 or less accidents a day. Gotta love how their little minds work!!
