I've two questions...

first, did you changed your infant formula such as similac advance to the one for older babies like Go & Grow?

and second, my 9 month baby is now interested in everything I eat. My question is, do you give your baby a bite of what your eating? I want to start the self feeding process but I'm afraid of the choking. Anyway, any suggestion on how to start this process?

hmm actually that makes three questions... =D
thanks,
Lisa

My DD stayed on a special formula due to an allergy until she was 12 months, so I don't know about moving to an older baby formula.

If your baby is interested in what you're eating, at 9mo I would say go for it! As long you know there isn't an allergy, and you should still only be introducing 1 new food every few days so as to narrow down the culprit if an allergy does arise. At 9 / 10 months, my DD was getting little bits of just about everything I ate. For self feeding - small little cut up bits of just about anything and she should be fine. Soft is best of course for her little tender gums. By 11 months, my DD didn't have baby food ever again, only table food. Its a great age to expose them to good nutritious foods before they start to balk at anything 'weird' or new looking. :)

My DS is nine months old, also. I am going to keep him on the normal Enfamil until he is ready for whole milk. I have looked at both ingredients in the Go & Grow, or the Enfamil for older babies, and there is not a big difference at all.

As for the feeding, my DS is well acquainted with my food. He kind of begs like a dog for it, lol! I just mash it up, or cut it into small little pieces. He also has Stage 3 baby food. Although, he is more so eating our food. Which is so much better money wise. Just give him little mashed up veggies to start, healthy foods are best!
