My son is 10 months old. I have lost all but 5 lbs of the 45 I gained with him. The problem is, I was very athletic and toned BP. I lost much of that muscle tone while I was preggers. I really don't stress about the weight on the scale, more the size I wear. I'm one size from where I should be. My top half looks OK, with the exception of my butt in the front from my C-section. But, my legs & butt are horrible! They are enourmous! I couldn't see them when I was pregnant to see how much weight I gained in my legs and how much muscle tone I'd lost. I work out daily on the elliptical trainer, but I'm not seeing an improvement in my legs and butt. I work full time, have a long commute, and travel a lot, so my workout time is reduced to 30 minutes first thing in the morning, before my son or husband are awake or need me yet. I know that resistance training helps, but lunges hurt my knees too badly to do many. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm desperate to regain the lean, strong legs I once had. Preferably in time to wear a cute skirt this summer! :)

Pilates may help! Pilates are a great toning exercise and they are very easy, I do them daily, I have a eight minute video (so super easy for your tight scedule) and after thats done I can feel it! It works out your whole body too, arms, legs, buns, abs, back. So if you are interested here is a link to buy it from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=8+minute+pilates&x=0&y=0

And ill give you a little story behind it.
I weighed like 118 before I had my baby, I was always thin, and i never worked out, i was always very active and had an AWESOME metabolism., so I gained 45 pounds with baby, and after i had her my metabolism just wasnt the same, i waited about 2 months to work out only because i was lazy and unmotivated, but once i started doing the pilates i noticed results right away! I was a size 0 in pants before baby, and after her i was 7-9, and after TWO WEEKS of pilates I could fit into my size two pants, and now I can fit into the same pants but if i wear straight legged pants i still have muffin tops. and those do not include lunges! hope this helped!
