Hi!!! I also am due on December 10!! I just found out at the beginning of this week and trying to find a great Due Date club. I had one with my daughter (she's 2) and we are all so close now. That board closed down so I'm trying to find out for this time. Hopefully they will create December 2009 soon :)

Hey Ladies...
I too am due in Dec but not until the 21st (unoffically). This is my first.. Hubby and I have been trying for a year and half- used meds the last 3 cycles...
Found out last week with + POAS then to docs for confirmation HCG's which both have looked great!
I am having a hard time accepting all the well wishes and congratulations... I know too many people with m/c or what have you it freaks me out.. and of course I couldn't keep my mouth shut so EVERYONE knows ;) I had a little pep talk with myself today.. and I am pregnant today, hopefully tomorrow and the day after that and so on... so I am gonna enjoy it!!!
ps I live in WI ;) and am really surprised that there isn't a Dec board but there is a Jan??

Congratulations. I too am worried. I am 40 and I have heard so many stories about the problems women age 40 and up have when pregnant. I just pray day by day that everything will be okay. I am trying to eat right take my prenatal pills and do light exercises as suggested by my doctor. Just get as much rest as you can when you can and take one day at a time. I am sure you and your baby will be just fine.

bella1021- Hey sorry to intrude on your thread, but we have been trying for over a year now & nothing..I was wondering what kind of meds you ended up using?? Thanks in advance!!
PS/ CONGRATS to all the ladies on here!! :):) Hopefully I won't be too far behind you!!!!
Hi there! We're unofficially due in December 2009 with baby #1! I also live in Wisconsin, so would love to connect. Pregnancy has been confirmed with a blood test, but I have had some spotting and reduced breast tenderness at the beginning of week 6. Anyone else experience this? I'm going in for another blood test tomorrow to check for increased hormone levels, so we hope everything will go well.

Yay, I am def getting excited about this crazy baby thing! This will be my third - my boys are 12 & 16 now and how loudly can you say "you're WHAT???" like they did during dinner when I told everyone the news. Husband even said "a baby what?" Hilarious. Anyway - I am due December 6th, but I've always been late so who knows. I am VERY excited to have a Sagittarius... silly, but true.
I live in NY, bout an hour north of NYC. I have an appointment for a sonogram on may 6 - then my fears about twins will be calmed (or proved!).
Good luck & health to everyone!!

I am also due in Dec. I'm 25, in the AF, and this is my first. My husband is leaving for Korea for a year on May 5th. He will get to come back for the birth but other than that I will be on my own. I'm mostly worried about being big and pregnant when the weather is bad outside. I'm stationed at Minot AFB, ND. We got over 50 inches of snow last year and it was very regularly below -50 windchill.
TFly- I'm just going into my 6th week and I have also had reduced breat tenderness. I also haven't had ANY morning sickness. I'm worrying that maybe the hormones have decreased or something. I won't be able to see a doctor for atleast another 2 weeks...stupid red tape! But like Bella said, I'm pregnant today and I'm going to be happy about it until someone tells me otherwise.

Thank you for the uplifting words...pregnant today! I found out Sunday I was pregnant and then started spotting on Monday. However, had my second HCG today and it doubled...I hope that keeps up. My husband wonders why I am not excited...I am scared! However, I appreciate the words..I am pregnant today and I am going to be happy about it!
Thanks

I am also due in December 2009; December 18th is my EDD. I had my first brief ultrasound Thursday (May 7th) and my doctor figured the due date from the measurements he took then. Hubby and I are both very excited, this is our first baby; we were both elated when we got to hear the heartbeat and see the baby when my doctor did a brief ultrasound to make sure everything looked healthy and we had a heartbeat since they could not find the heartbeat on the handheld thing. I am very fortunate in the ultrasound department, I found a clinic that is training nurses to do sonograms on women that are 6-28 pregnant so they are doing them for free, so I get a complete ultrasound this coming Friday and then I am scheduled for one at my doctor's office on May 28th by the actual US tech instead of my doctor.

I'm also due around Dec 8th. First pregnancy and all. Everything has been going kind of smoothly till now, and I'm beginning to experience the little discomforts here and there. Nothing serious though. :)
I'm not from the US but hope to be in touch with all of you pregnancy mates. Good luck to all with your pregnancies

Hello! Congrats to everyone! I am 27 and 8 weeks pregnant with my first. I am due on Dec. 24!! I am very excited but also nervous. I don't know what to expect and what is normal. I was lucky enough to have an early ultra sound last week and heard my babies heartbeat! Everything is looking good. I go back in another 4 weeks for a better picture. I have been feeling very queasy the last week and a half, but I'm just trying to take it day by day. I look forward to sharing this amazing journey for the next 7 1/2 months!

Hey everyone - I don't have official due date from doc yet, but I think it will be Dec. 31 or Jan. 1. I'm freaking out!! This was a big surprise! I'm 37 and have a 5 year old girl. We thought our family was complete, and I just learned a day after running a half marathon that I'm pregnant! I've had a positive blood test at the doc's office, but have to wait until May 22 for an ultrasound. Due to my age, and some past health issues, I'm a little nervous, so I don't think I'm going to believe it until I hear the heartbeat. Sorry I'm going on and on, we haven't told anyone yet, so I am now spilling it all out :) Congrats to everyone else!

How exciting, hm.owen! I know all about pregnancy surprises.... I had my first at 18 - very unexpected... We planned a second 4.5 years later and I thought the family was full and complete since we hadn't been using any birth control for the past 5 years and no 'surprises'. The week after I made an appointment for b/c with my ob I got pregnant... yikes! Kids are 16 and 12, but we are slowly warming to the idea of the pitter-patter of little feet! I have not told many people yet either - there will be some very surprised folks out there for sure! I am due the first week of december and feeling so different than I did with either son before... I am now questioning whether to find out the gender or not... It is hard waiting!! Good luck to you and everyone with their pregnancies! Think happy thoughts!

Hello all, I too am due Dec 23. This will be my 7th child. We thought we were complete with 5 but then no. 6 showed up 4 years later, and now 5 years after her comes no. 7. I'm still warming up to the idea. I just decided to go to school after being a stay at home mom for 12 years. We haven't told anyone that lives near us, of the 6 kids only the youngest 3 will be happy to hear our news. The older 3 realize the financial burden of another body to feed and clothe. I know they will love the baby all the same, just terrified to break the news. Especially to my parents who have helped us out whenever we've needed it. I'm sure they think we have enough children as we thought too. Hope to get to know you ladies better and congratulations!

This is our 3rd child. I found out about a month ago that I am pregnant. I will be going to my 1st OBGYN appt tomorrow. My estimated due date is 12/22/09, but I will find out for sure tomorrow... the OBGYN is usually pretty much right on with my due dates. The due date finders online are usually off by a week, I always end up being a little bit further along then they state.
We are so excited about this pregnancy, pretty much as much as we were with our first. Our 2nd was a surprise, she didn't make it, though. Hadassah, our 2nd child was born premature and died from pulmonary hypoplasia. So, this pregnancy is really a blessing!!!

I too am confused why they don't have a Dec. 09 board?! Ugh! Anywho...I am Due either the 1st or 2nd...couldn't quite recall what exact date it started...just knew it was a few days before my daughter's 6th birthday. Thinking it would be "heavy" by then! Anywho...I am expecting #3...my son just turned 8. We just decided to start trying and it happened right away.
I live in WI as well...
Had my first appt at 10 weeks and heard the heartbeat...but was also told that I was measuring more...which I know is not the case. So, I am excited to see what happens at the next appointment.
Congrats to each of you!!!

RedHouse: I can so relate! I am 41 and my husband and I just found out two weeks ago that we are expecting! This will be our first (and ONLY!) together...we both of two boys each from our previous marriages--21, 13, 12, and 11...so I feel like I'm pregnant for the first time...all the jitters and nervousness about miscarriages and being a good parent to go along with it. And not to mention the "You're What?!" comments from "friends". My husband has a grandson 1 year old and another due to be born any day now and one "friend" commented that our baby would have nephews older than him/her, which is true but I just thought it was a little tacky to say...maybe that's just my hormones and emotions kicking in. Anyway--we are thrilled and can't wait for him or her to be here--our due date is Dec. 31st!!!

hey everyone! im officially due December 7th with my first! DH and i are super excited and cant believe that it's already less than 9 months until we see our jelly bean! we haven't told anyone yet but we decided that 6/8 will be the day to tell our parents and my grandmother and 6/9 we'll tell our siblings and after that we'll start telling our friends. we are both so excited and im not really worried about the pregnancy itself. my 2 biggest fears are birth defects, retardation, down syndrome (im getting screened the next time i go to my OB) and the actual birth itself. one of my brothers is a sociopath and has borderline personality disorder and i know the toll it took on my parents, family and myself and my brother and i just dont know that i want a child with some sort of disability and i know how terrible that makes me sound but i just dont know that i could handle the effect it would have on me, my marriage and my other (future) children. i dont have any risk factors so the test is mostly for my peace of mind. anyway, im also so freaked out about giving birth. i definately want to do natural birth but omg i was looking at videos on babycenter.com last night wow, it looks so scary! i think though that the more i watch the more ill become accustomed to what it is.... if that makes sense. i decided im going to learn hypno-birthing techniques since the one video where the woman did this she seemed so relaxed and calm even during the transition stage of labor and the actual birth. id heard about it before and i know 2 women who have done it and love it. has anyone tried this with a previous pregnancy? what was your experiance?

Hi ladies! I'm new to this website, but glad to find a forum for women in my same boat. Like Miami Mom & Bubec, I am due on Dec 8th. I've very excited! This will be my first child. I've had a relatively smooth first trimester--no sickness, just super emotional. I can't wait for my next ultrasound. I want to see my baby so bad, and I have a LONG way to go. Hopefully, this forum will help with the antsy anticipation. I've never been a patient woman, so God is definitely working on improving my character now. LOL!

omg so many people since I first came on here. glad to meet everyone. sorry I haven't been on at all since my introduction but i have been so sick it isn't even funny. I am tottaly jealous of all of you that have not had morning sickness. Mine has been so bad I have lost 17 pounds and I can't stand to smell or look of a lot of foods right now, but my morning sickness is lightening up so I am hoping I will feel more like normal soon. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi there,
The first u/s is always so exciting. I've had them so many till now, as my period dates did not match the size of the baby. Everything's ok now - the doctor figured it out. Just had my u/s today. It was amazing. The baby actually looks like a baby now :)))) I'm in week 14 now yay!
Keep in touch and good luck.

I am due December 19th and I had some bleeding around 6 weeks too and my progesterone level was low. So I have been on progesterone in oil shots since the start of pregnancy. I was just having some allergic reactions to the oils used so when I had the bleeding we were experimenting with other progesterone supplements that didn't work for me. But we got it straightened out and I have a healthy fetus now :) Hang in there!

My EDD is 26 December......so excited. This will be our #1 baby together!!! So happy that we've passed the 1st trimester as I m/c last year in December so fingers crossed, this Christmas, I'll receive a very beautiful present!!! I'm 16 weeks as of Sunday and last night, I think I felt the baby move, it was like a pop-popping around the same spot for at least a minute.....but being my first, I'm really unsure of what I was feeling but I'm hoping it was the sensations of my baby moving around inside there LOL!!!
Anyway, congratulations and good luck to everyone on this thread. We have a long way to go and I'm hoping it won't take toooo long to pass LOL!!!
Cheers, Jen :)

I am due December 5th and couldn't be more excited!!! This is my husband and mine's first baby (a little boy) and we are actually the first couple among our friends to be having a baby. Sometimes I feel like such an oddity and wish I had some other mom friends to hang out with but I guess there has to be a first in every group of friends. If anyone has any advice on how to stay friends with couples who don't have kids while meeting new moms at the same time I would really appreciate it. Congrats to all the other December moms to be!!!

Hello to everyone due in December! I'm expecting a baby girl on the 17th. She will be our first child. Even though I'm 6 months along now, my husband is still having a hard time accepting everything! I've mentioned childbirth classes but he doesn't want to go. So I asked my mother and she is going to go with me. Is that weird? Will there be other women there with their moms?
karatelady1027
10-19-2009, 07:25 AM
My best friend is going with me to my childbirth classes and I'm looking forward to it. My husband works nights and we simply can't afford for him to take the time off work. This is our first child together but we both have two boys each from previous marriages so it's not like we are newbies at childbirth. We are both fine with my friend going with me to the classes and know that HE will be the one beside me when our little miracle girl arrives. Sometimes you just have to make choices that other people may not understand....
