Was Wishing For a Girl. . . .

I'm 20 1/2 weeks with my 3rd pregnancy and just had my ultrasound today. Everything is measuring exactly with my due date, Aug. 9 (damn, I was hoping to go early! LOL) The baby is approximately 13 oz. And I found out for the first time what my baby is going to be before I have it. Here comes Boy #3! Oh Boy! I have to admit, I was REALLY hoping for a girl this time around. But, as long as it's healthy, that's the main thing! (That's what people say so they don't sound horrible about being unhappy about the sex) Of course you want it to be healthy above all, but if you could choose. . . . So, any good boy names? Already have Will and Dane.

My fiancé was really hoping for a girl too, he already has three sons. I was kind of hoping for a boy even though I've two stepsons, well three actually. the third stepson is 18 and doesn't live at home and is from my fiancés first marriage, I've only met him a couple times so I don't really consider him a stepson and I'm sure he doesn't consider me his step mom as he's already had one of those. my other two stepsons, from his second marriage, are 7 and nearly 9 and are with us quite often, which I think is great, they're allot of fun. Now I know what you're thinking based on info I've relayed, how could you involve yourself with a man who's already been married twice, well he just hasn't had the greatest luck. Not that it really matters but , he was really young when he married his first wife who just wanted to take advantage of him financially and his second wife left him for her 60 something yr old political science professor (she's 28), an education my fiancé paid for btw. Well I'm 22 weeks and just had my ultrasound yesterday and we found out it's a boy, (already weighs 1lb 3oz). I'm really excited to have one of my own but my fiancé, though he won't admit it, I think is kind of disappointed. He just keeps saying he's happy to have a baby and just hopes it's healthy, which I do believe, I just know how much he really wanted to have a little girl. I just really want him to be happy as of all the people I know he most deserves all the happiness the world has to offer. He works so hard to take care of me and his kids in all ways and I'm very blessed to have him.

No, I don't think that at all. If the problem was the wives and not him, best of luck to both of you together! He will be happy once his 4th son is here, just as I am slowly getting used to the fact that I'm having a 3rd son. :) But I know what it is to want the other so bad! But, congratulations to you!! And boys are a lot of fun. I've always said that I would rather have all boys than all girls, for sure! LOL

BTW, lou, i'm 24 weeks, and if you go before me. . . . LOL I get a sinking feeling that this one may decide to be late. My first was 2 weeks early and my 2nd was right on the day.

thanks for the congrats! I agree boys are alot of fun and I too would rather have all boys than all girls. I'm a big tom boy myself so I wanted to have a boy cause I didn't no what I'd do if I got a girly girl. I'm just not into the whole shopping, makeup, gossip, nails thing. I know he'll be happy when the baby arrives, he's really looking forward to it and tells me all the time he just can't wait till the baby gets here. But as you said you know what it is to want the other so bad. I've told him many times throughout this pregnancy that one is enough no more babies ( I'm just not one of those women that enjoys pregnancy, I love the idea of holding my child in my arms though) to which he replies I'll change my mind later. I was so sure I wouldn't change my mind but now I'm thinking it would be nice for him to get his little girl.

at the rate you're going I think it's inevitable that he'll be late. Don't worry though, babies in my family are notorious for being late. I was a week late myself. needless to say I have that sinking feeling too. it's going to be a long hot summer for sure. I'm already sleeping with nothing on (I'm in Il. so it's not like it's that hot yet), not even a sheet and my fiance much as I love him I may have to throttle cause he still hasn't gotten the air conditioning fixed!!!!
