Help!! I need some major advice on how to discipline my son who is almost 2. I have tried everything from timeout to spanking. When I try to discipline him he laughs or it doesn't bother him at all. What do I do???

Many mothers ahve posted with same problems. I gave you link there to other posts that give some ideas. I know there are more. I'll find them and give you the links to those as well.
I hate to say it, but a lot of the problem you are having with your son is just because he is 2 (or almost anyway). My son was the same way at that age. We just kept putting him in time out, even when we had to physically hold him there, until he got the picture that time out = he did something Mommy and Daddy we're going to allow him to do. Now that he's 3 1/2 we things are finally getting a lot better. He still has bad days, but most of the time just the mention of a time out gets him to shape up. I think two most important things at your son's age are 1.) Patience - you getting mad and yelling/spanking/whatever won't fix anything. 2.) Consistency - you can't let him get away with throwing blocks one day and expect him to know it's naughty the next day. Also you and SO/DH/daycare provider need to agree on not only what deserves a punishment but also what the punishment is. This was really hard for DH and I because we were literally puishing our son 10 times a day for throwing blocks. But we stuck with it and now it has paid off now. Good luck to you.

I hope the links I gave were helpful.
CLS explained it though. He's 2. At this age he is testing his boundaries. He's seeing how serious you are are what he can get away with. Consistency is key.
