Hi, We think our son who is 10 months is scared of the dark. Cause i try to put him to bed and turn off everything and he just screams. So we leave tv on all night but it running up the bill. I fall asleep before him so i think he stays up and wathches it. We had a toy that lights up on his crib but it turns off after 10 minutes. Do they make a toy that will light up all night and stay on ? thanks

Maybe try a night light? They shouldn't take too much power to run. Unfortunately from what I've found, most of the crib toys... most baby toys... run on a timer and most are battery operated which means buying batteries every month or so (or less if it ran all night) which would be a lot more expensive in the long run than something like a night light.

My parents bought us a Homemedics Sound Spa Lullaby for our son. It has a little projector that shows images up on the ceiling which is nice (as well as plays some songs and some nature sounds) something like that would also work well in place of the TV, it has moving images and probably runs on less power as well as a timer so that it turns off after 15, 20, 30 minutes or so or stays on all the time. I just find the little wheel that runs the discs squeaks every so often so I end up going in after he's asleep and turning off the projector (doesn't wake him but annoys me)

I have always had a night light for my daughter and she loves it when we make animals on the wall. I put it in her room when she was really little that way I didn’t have to turn on the light to check on her. And when she little it was nice to have it that way when she did wake up it was on and I could find what I needed to in her room then rock her back to sleep. They don’t put out a lot of light but just enough to make them feel safe. So I would agree with Bec caV and get a night light.
