Im surprised there isnt anyone on this forum yet.
My name is Alisha and I am due 7/21/09. This is my first pregnancy and Im hoping to connect with other first time mommies. So far I havent found any sites that people were interested in connecting. I am 27 years old and have been a social worker for about 3 years. Ive been attending grad school since last august and have two more years left. Ive been with my husband for 11 years and married for almost 6.
My big ultrasound is next week! Im really excited. I talked my doc into doing an ultrasound last week after a fall and she thinks its a girl! Im totally psyched but my husband was really hoping for a boy. I think he's coming around.
I hope others will join me and we can form a bond.

Hi, nice to meet you. My name is Alisha.
I love 4th of July so I would be bummed if I had to be in the hospital during that time. At least you have something to celebrate!
Do you know what you are having? We just found out we have a little girl. We narrowed our names down to Ava, Piper, Imagen, Phoebe, and Bella. Im leaning toward Ava and Piper but Ava is getting so popular. Its not in my area but it was #2 nationally last year. Do you have names chosen?
I hope to stay in touch and maybe others will join us.

Hi, I'm Ashley and I am due July 4th as well!
My husband and I, both, have 2 children from a previous marriage and now we are expecting our first together. So, yes, doing the math, this makes #5.
We found out about 3 weeks ago that we are having a boy! It will be my husband's first boy, and the only boy to carry the family's last name.
I'm here to visit, and glad that there are finally some people in here for July.

Hi Ashley - Welcome to the thread.
I cant believe #5, that seems very overwhelming. This is my first and my husbands. I keep shopping clearance racks for next winter. Im finding that the girls clothes are really girly so far. I was never really into pink so Im looking for some variations. Im thinking my shower will probably be mid May so Ive already registered. Its so much fun! Im glad I have this to look forward to because work and school have been so frustrating lately.

Glamgoddess, why do you think you wont make it to July 4?
Im not sure if I revealed this before but I found out we have girl! So excited! Im thinking either Ava Brielle or Piper Imagen. What do you think. Ava isnt popular in my area right now but Im afraid she will be one of 4 or something. I live in a small town...

Heidikins - thats so exciting. I cant believe you can wait that long. Im such a control freak, it was killing me to wait until 20 weeks.
Ive been super stressed all week and Im worried that the stress will have negative effects on my baby. My dad is already calling her Piper and practicing calling a baby by that name

I can't say that it isn't killing me! haha I have so much yellow and white it's absolutely crazy but I figure for the first especially I want a surprise! I know what you mean about the stress though. I've got about a month left of university this year and I'm working part-time and being pregnant just throws you for a loop!

So, basically, we were all doing the same thing the weekend of October 10th! :) I just think that it's weird... when I found out that I was pregnant, I went online to calculate my due date... which I've done with all my kids... when I did that, it said that it was July 6th... but when i went to the Doctor's appointment they backed me up to July 4th. Kinda strange I guess, just never happened to me before. But she also told me that if everything was going well and I was dilating well, she would induce if I was ready... for work reasons. Don't think it would take very long, as far as labor goes, with this one. I'm glad to see more people for July :)

Heidikins - I think you are brave for not finding out but it would totally drive me nuts. Im not really a big fan of yellow or ducks so that was a concern. I noticed its really hard to buy neutral clothing right now too - not many options.
Ashley - I must have missed the October thing but my doctor moved my due date up to the 28th at first and when I checked online it said the 21st, then I went to a different doctor and they told me the 21st after they measured her.
Im really hoping my schedule slows down but Im guessing it wont. My stepmom wants to throw me a surprise baby shower and I dont have time for that. She also doesnt want to do just one party because she doesnt want my mom there because she thinks my mom will steal her thunder for throwing it. Its so stupid. Im so annoyed that I dont even want one now.

Oh I wouldn't call it brave! haha it definately drives me nuts but it's fun too. There's days I go into the stores and all I look at is little dresses and skirts and cute little girls clothes(which by the way there are so many more of!!) and then other days it's all the little boy stuff. It's funny too because in the morning when my boyfriend talks to my belly or about my belly to me it's always her and then at night it always goes back to he.
It's kind of fun to have a guessing game I guess. Lots of the girls I work with and know from work are guessing what it is. The overall consensus is a girl!
Oh good luck with the baby shower stuff!

I am 28 and my husband and I are expecting our first. We just found out 2 wks ago that it is a girl and we are naming her Emma Rilee. We both couldn't be more excited. I am still in college so things are crazy I am convinced pregnancy has made me dumb!

ndaniels ~ it does, it does make you dumb. my husband wears a scruffy look and sometimes when we snuggle, he'll get up under my chin and love on me a little kissing my neck... one day he was going to do it and i simply said, without skipping a beat, "don't chickle my chin!"... i really didn't even notice what i said, i had to wait until he was done laughing so hard for him to tell me what was soooooooo funny. We were at a restaurant one night and I asked for a "ga tow" box instead of a "to go" box... again he gets a kick out of this. one last one... we were out with friends and were having a wonderful time.... i had been laughing nonstop, once i gathered myself i said "Stop making me pee my pants, your going to make me laugh!" obviously, again.... freakin' backwards!!!
We both totally agree that it's only been since I've been pregnant :)

ndaniels I'm still in school as well and I only have a few more weeks left but I am definately convinced I'm in trouble for finals with the way my brain has shut down! I've worked at the same retail job for 2 and 1/2 years and things I should know off the top of my head have absolutely disappeared! haha but Ashley yours are hilarious!
On another note I swear I feel like I'm going to explode, I think every bone in my body is trying to stretch! my ribs are constantly aching it's awful! anyone else?

Hey everyone! I'm Christina. My second is due on July 13, a boy. Navin Josiah. :) I'm super excited, I can't wait much longer. I'm hoping that the time will fly by. I'm starting to get the pains in my lower belly from the stretching and heavy pressure. It sucks. No one warned me that you had little pains like these with your second pregnancy. I had another ultrasound on Friday where the doctor casually mentions, "Oh he's on the bigger side, and his head is in the upper 30% of big heads." So, I'm kinda freaking out a little about this monster inside of me. :)

How is everyone doing??? I went to the Dr. a week ago and have a sono lined out for the next visit to check on some things and then after the appointment I have to do the wonderful glucose test!
Just checking if there was anything new with anyone...

Hi all! My name is Betty and I am pregnant with my second child. My due date is on July 31st, so I possibly could be in the wrong community and may actually belong in the August one ;) LOL. I had my ultrasound last week, and was disappointed in the ultrasound tech whom seemed really incompetent. I did just go in this Tuesday to look over the results w/ my midwife, and she says that baby is developing wonderfully and there are no concerns. Yah! Although, I still don't know what I'm having yet...yes, the tech was that incompetent! But its ok, I'll be happy with either. I just feel incredibly blessed. I have a seven-year-old daughter, and have never used birth control after her. So it took a long while...not that we trying all of those years; probably just the last 3 years or so.

Hi everyone!! I am due July 13th. This is our first baby and we found out it is a boy. It feels like I have been pregnant forever somedays and others like I just I found out. I cant wait to meet the little guy but I am also scared about the delivery and the lack of sleep. I think we are so lucky to be having summer babies. It is going to make birthday parties so much more fun to plan, and our kids wont have to spend their birthday in school either! Hope everyone is doing great!

Feeling pretty good here. We are getting pretty excited about our shower coming up this next weekend. I cant wait to put everything where it goes in his room. We are also having a 4-D ultrasound tomorrow night. If the pictures are acurate it should be pretty amazing. Heidikins...I feel your pain about still 12 more weeks. I cant imagine how big my stomach is going to get. It already feels like it has reached its limits. Best wishes for everyone else!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Kisha and me and my husband are pregnant with our first child and Iam due on July 13th. We are having a little girl and could not be more happy. It's so funny because my husband knew we were having a daughter even when I was just 8 weeks pregnant. He refused to look at boy names even though everyone was saying my stomach was shapped like a boy. My bby shower is coming up in this month but I'm not supposed to know so shhhh lol. Iam hoping to connect with other mothers as well. Is anyone living in Miami, Fl? Just curious
