ginger- i thought the same thing, but it is more official! :)
so congrats to all the new mommies! i hope the morning sickness wears off soon, and everyone will feel better soon!
me- i had my first u/s last week and boy do i have a active little peanut in there! she could hardly get some good pics, but we did get a couple! :) im about 11 1/2 weeks right now and i think i feel some movement in there but not sure it might be gas? so im waiting for to feel for the kick! i go to my drs on the 27th so i will then know about how well the baby is growing and make sure everything is going good! the ultra sound tech said the baby is measuring a week farther then we thought so i have to wait to see what the dr says since he has last word on things like that! so maybe my due date will change?
but hope everyone is starting to feel better! i will talk to you all later

Hello September Mamas!
My name is Tiana. This is my 1st baby and I am due on the 13th! I am 14 weeks! My birthday is on the 22nd so it would be interesting if the baby waits it out! I will say I'm not looking forward to being pregnant all summer. I live in Arizona, nice and toasty everyday of the summer...like 120 in the shade! Good to here all!
Kerisweetpea
03-17-2009, 03:43 PM
welcome Melissa and Tiana.
melissa and tiana you guys are gonna kinda be like my mom and me. my mom had me 2 days after her b-day and i had my son 5 days after my b-day! its so fun to have them right in the same time frame! we can all celebrate at the same time! i hope it works the way you want it too!
Tiana- i live in Michigan so im not quite in the same predicament as you are but at least you have the dry heat, i went down to arizona a couple years ago during june and it was hot but it was kinda comfy in the shade. but yeah im with you not looking forward to being hot in the dead of summer!
as for me i have been REALLY stressed lately, so much going on. my hospital is closing the maternity ward so now i have to find a new Dr and drive an hour to the nearest hospital, and my MIL is driving me NUTS, and my poor nephew has an air bubble in his skull so he may need surgery at 3 months old! then my son just turned 2 and let me tell you he is making sure we know what terrible twos are! im just glad we are finally getting some good weather up here and we can go outside and play! its in the 60's today but pretty windy but thats ok!
but other then that i will be 13 weeks tomorrow and i dont go to my drs till the 27th, so we will see what he says.....

Hey! Congratulations! It was just last August when I became a new mommy! Best ever! Surprise surprise! I am having baby boy number 2 Sep. 24th. Wow! I never imagined it would all happen this quick! I just found out (via blood test) I was pregos last Monday and confirmed it yesterday with my OB. I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. If any of you mom's with 2+ kids have advice I would love to get some feed back. They will barely be 13 months apart. I'm still nursing my son exclusively and working full time. I know I'm going to have to give my son formula by this week, because my back stock is VERY low. =( So please share any past experiences that might offer some guidance.
Thanks! Have a great day!

welcome new mommy 808! we are due just a day apart!
so an update on me, this little person inside of me is VERY active! the other day i was eating frozen kool aide (i never knew it was so good frozen!lol) and i was getting kicked and punched! it was funny! its the best part of being pregnant is feeling the little kicks and movements! i go in for my ultra sound may 12th, i will be almost 21 weeks. but at least we will definitely know the sex by then!
i have to switch hospitals and Drs, since they are closing the maternity ward here closest to me, so now i have to drive an hour away and switch Drs half way thru my pregnancy! not very happy but nothing i can do about it!
well this thread isnt very active im kinda hoping it will pick up, i like talking to other pregnant moms!
hope everyone is having a GREAT, HAPPY, HEALTHY PREGNANCY!!!!

Oh, I've been checking the forum for some time now, and never entered here! Well, my name is Carol and I'm due on Sep. 28th with my first child, who turned out to be a little girl! My and my husband are SO excited about it.
So far all testing has been negative, so no news is good news in this case
hello ladies
I am finally over my all day sickness and have a ton more energy now. It is interesting that when I was going through the rough times i thought it would never end..... but I am told that more things can still happen as the third trimester draws close.
In other news, we will be having an ultrsound done next week monday and I am very excited cause it will be the only one we have. Not sure yet if we want to find out the sex of the baby.
Also I want to know ways I can cope with having a natural birth without paying for the birthing classes. I have have 2 bad stomach ache episodes and I pray the contractions are not as bad. I would not know how to survive a 12hr-however long labor.

osa- im not gonna lie contractions SUCK! but with my son i had a natural child birth and i didnt take any classes! just remember the nurses will be your best friend while your in the hospital, and dont feel bad if you need some drugs :)

awww!!! I almost cried when the doc said we're having a girl, since that's what my and my husband wanted from the beginning. On the last ultrasound she moved a lot, but she was still to small for me to feel her, now -as I type- I have this bubbling feeling down my belly. I love it! next week I have another ultrasound, so I'm anxious to see how much she's grown.
Kerisweetpea
05-14-2009, 10:41 AM
i know what you mean! the tech stopped what she was doing to ask if i was ok. LOL! i wanted a girl even before my son but i did want both. so i got really lucky! i got my son and now i have my little girl! :) yeah i had my first ultrasound at 10weeks and i could see her move all over the place but couldnt feel anything, its the best feeling being able to feel the baby move and to see it too! im so excited for you for next week to be able to feel and see it! and it is really cool to see how much they grow, it makes you feel like your doing something right! :) you will definitely have to tell me how your next ultra sound goes!!! and i LOVE to see pictures too! :D

I was wondering what happened to the other thread...lol. I FINALLY got my big ultrasound, and IT'S A BOY!! I was originally supposed to go on the 18th, but I was so anxious to find out what I was having, I called the radiologist every morning and afternoon to see if a new appt opened up. On the 12th, I got a 11:45AM appt on 5/13, which ended up being a scheduling error (thank GOD he told me told call to confirm the appt later that day!) They changed my appt to 2:45PM and he showed off for the technician...lol. She got carried away because he is so cute! I got 50+ pics. Yesterday was also my 30th b-day, so this was the BEST birthday present ever. My BF did not know I rescheduled, so to surprise him, I went to Wal-Mart and got a cute little blue onesie that said worth the wait on it and put it in my purse. I asked him to get something out of my purse. When he saw it, he said "Who is this for?", and I said "Your Son". Then I showed him the pictures. He has been talkin to and about Gavin even more every since. Better stop here cuz I'm getting emotional...:o

so, I'm just back from the doc... and my baby girl is 21 weeks old, absolutely normal, everything fine... and just like me, she doesn't like pictures! she did not let the doc see her face at all. She was covering it all the time with her tiny hands ^_^
Kerisweetpea
05-21-2009, 11:01 AM
awwww babylon that is so cute!!! and congrats on everything being fine and normal! :) its always nice to hear that! did they tell you about how much she weighs?
n_butler23 congrats on the boy! they are SOOOOOO much fun! i dont know what i would so with out my son!! he makes the day go so much faster and better!! that is the best b-day present ever! oh and happy belated b-day! if you can upload some pics on here we all LOVE to see pics!!!
so i live in a VERY small town where everyone knows everyone! and i went to the auto part store for my DH yesterday and the one guy that works there was saying how tiny i was. i was like "hey thanks!" :) then he was talking about his daughter that is just HUGE but she is due at the end of the month and im like oh im due at the end of sept and he's like "oh i guess your not that small" he thought the whole time i was due at the end of the month too! and now they are telling people how BIG i am! makes me want to cry! lol i knew i was getting big but i guess i didnt realize i was BIG! :) so anyways its starting to get warm here in michigan and now im not sure how im gonna handle being 6months and in the middle of summer!? the last 2 days was in the 80s, it was nice to finally get out of the 50s but WOW i was hot and sweaty! :)
well i hope everyone is doing GREAT! and hope to see more pics too!

hey everyone!
I'm due sep. 3rd with my third child. My second boy. I've been having some weird issues. I notice when I drink soda or sweet tea My baby doesn't kick. He'll stay still for about 12 hours, but the days when I skip the sugar drinks, and just drink water, then he moves like crazy. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Been awhile so I thought I would update too. We got our U/S on May 8th, baby is perfect and doing fine. We are not finding out sex since we already have a boy and girl. Baby is active and perfect, but big. At 21 weeks it weighed over a pound. This confirmed my baby is already at the 80+% for its size. This means I am well on my way to having ANOTHER 8 to 9 pound baby, AGAIN. At least I know I am having it 8 days early so maybe only 8.2? I hope? But hey its healthy!

05-29-2009, 01:52 PM
hey everyone just checking in to see how everyone is doing?? im doing pretty good im just trying to get used to having her so low! my son was super high in my ribs from almost day one it seemed like but this one is right on my bladder and wont move!!! even my Dr said he couldnt believe how low she is. she is VERY active if im sitting or standing still she's moving and kicking! im a lot bigger with this one then my son but i guess thats good in some ways. and im right with you ginger, she was already a pound at 20weeks so im thinking 8 or 9lbs when we are all done! OUCH!! my son was 7lbs 4oz which i think was perfect so we will see....
my dr wants me to have another ultrasound sometime in my 3rd trimester to check the size just in case she gets to big for me. (i have a really small frame) so we will see. just think we are all so close!! for me the time has gone by pretty fast, i cant believe im days away from 24weeks!
i think im already getting braxton hicks, but not 100% sure i never had them with my son.
but hope everyone is doing good and growing healthy babies!!!!!

05-31-2009, 05:30 AM
does your belly get tight?? like it suddenly becomes hard? mine does from time to time. But baby moves, and spins... sometimes I feel her moving all over, like little kicks below and a big punch on top that you can actually see! It's the best entertainment for me and my husband LOL.
As far as I know I won't have another ultrasound, which sucks, because I would really love to get to see her again before the delivery, but I'll check with the doc once returns from his vacations.
Kerisweetpea
05-31-2009, 05:20 PM
yeah it gets really tight for about 20 seconds then goes back to normal. i will have a couple a day. yeah she moves like crazy in there but its a different feeling then her just pushing or laying funny, you know what i mean? yeah i think its the best entertainment next to my 2yr old to sit there and just watch my belly go crazy! :)
normally i wouldnt have another ultra sound but at 20 weeks she was just over a pound and they just want to check but thats not 100% sure yet. we will see, still have little while till we get there.
I hate it when Drs go on Vacation! i know they deserve it too but COME ON!! lol!
when i was pregnant with my son my dr left for 3 weeks for india i think, he goes over there every year to help out with prenatal, vaccinations, and just to help sick people. but i was a TOTAL BASKET CASE when he left! but it worked out :)
so at 28 weeks i have to start the kick count, i didnt have to do it with my son so this was all new to me, but i gave it a trial run for the last couple days and i didnt even get to an hour and i got 10!!! so im thinking this will be pretty easy! LOL!
Healthy happy babies!!! :)

the baby is very low and putting a LOT of pressure on me!
i will be 26 weeks on wed. and i keep on having this dream that i go into labor at week 29!! and its always at 29 weeks! so thats kinda freaking me out hopefully its just a dream!

Morning All,
These days, my comfort level depends alot on the weather, and Gavin's postition (he seems to favor my right rib) I live in the Maryland, so it gets VERY humid here, and we have already had some hot days. Today is supposed to be in the mid 80's which isn't that hot unless you're carrying an etra person around with you...lol. I, too am getting tired alot, and bending down to pick things up is almost impossible. I'm gonna buy on of those grabber things I saw on tv. Tried to polish my toes this morning, and that didn't wotk out. Ahhh the joys of pregnancy...
hello ladies,
I hope everyone is doing well.......
I am getting bigger and I seem to be more on the no appetite trend. I can not eat as much as I used to and I have no cravings... and if my baby/body does not like something I ate, I suffer for 24hrs. I too am carrying my baby very very low and I had to get the steriod shot incase an early apperance is made. for now I wear a pregnancy belt. This is my first and I am trying to tell myself that this will be doable again LOL.
Each day is full of suprises, but the best is knowing that no matter how horrid I am feeling, my little one is moving around and having a grand ole time- hopefully :-)

i ladies.. my name is leah. i just now found this forum!! i am between 26 and 28 wks... my doctor keeps changing my due date between the 13th and the 25th. I am having a little boy, we are naming him Cayden James. I am high risk and may not make it to full term because of an incompetent cervix! but we will see, so far, so good. my pelvic bone hurts though, not too bad, but it is uncomfortable. any of you ladies have that too?!?!

so I'm almost 26 weeks along, and getting tired! We live on a 4th floor, no elevator so by the time I open the door I'm exhausted. Little girl kicks hard and gets scared with slamming doors, but she calms down as soon as daddy touches the belly. Last week at my doc's appointment I got weighted and so far I gained a whooping 1 kilo, approx. 2 lb., which is not so bad, considering I got sick as a dog twice and I wasn't exactly "skinny" when I got pregnant.
A few days ago I had this weird dream, I had an ultrasound, the last before delivery, when the doctor announces that I will have a hard time delivering my first, since the other two babies are still too young. WHAT?! the doc in my dream explained that apparently while already being pregnant I got pregnant twice at different times, so I had my oldest, who was almost ready to be born, a second baby who was a couple of months younger and a third baby who was still an embryo. These two other babies were hiding behind the oldest, and that's why they were not detected early. When I told my husband he freaked out and asked if I was sure I was expecting only one baby!

Hi everyone:) I'm now 27 weeks and usually by 1pm can barely keep my eyes open:( It hasn't been to hot here yet but I am always sweating. My sister in law had her baby yesterday and I am so jealous. I want September to be here already!! I have been very cranky and do not do well being pregnant.. well 13 weeks to go isn't to bad at least. The thing that gets me through is all the things we have planned in the coming weeks. Summer is always busy and tends to fly..

Hey everyone! welcome to the new mommies! :)
so i am 27weeks today. and i had a Dr appt yesterday and i gained 7lbs last month!!! AHHHHH! they say its normal to have one month that you just gain like crazy. but i never had that with my son! it just totally freaked me out!
and all my test came back and my sugar is in the perfect area! YAY my iron perfect and everything else came back really good. i had to get my tetnas (sp) shot since its been 10yrs since my last one and just in case i deliver on the side of the road or something i need it. so needless to say my arm is a little sore today :( they say babies get less active the bigger they get cause they run out of room! not this one she has been moving and kicking more! i have a feeling this is gonna be my problem child! :D total opposite of my son!
this is the first week of us having hot weather, im not sure if i can take 3 more months of this? i feel bad cause Caleb just wants to go outside but as soon as i get outside i feel like im dying! heck just 2 weeks ago we were still having frost in the mornings! now we are in the 90's! i HATE michigan weather! we are either in the 30's or 90's! it just bugs the heck out of me!
ok i will stop rambling now, hope everyone is surviving the heat.....

geese it seems like im the only one that's ever on here! all well.
well im 30 weeks and 2 days today. im in the middle of switching Drs and its putting a lot of stress on me! this baby is putting a lot of pressure on me, and i am very uncomfortable! she moves like crazy, my hubby asked me if it bothered me that she moves so much? and i said no, i dont care unless she does something that hurts. and she must be putting pressure on my stomach cause (tmi?) when i burp or lay down flat stuff comes up. very annoying!!
well so far here in Michigan we havent had much of a summer we havent even passed the 90 mark yet and today we are in the 60's i wish it would get warmer i really want to go swimming! well i was just checking in to see how everyone was doing.......
hello ladies
@Kerisweetpea, lol it may seem that way but I check in every weekday....... I am not a very big writer i guess.
I am 31wks, 2days. I know so many women who are pregnant this year and I already have 2 baby showers to attend this month alone. Two of my friends have already given birth and are having a blast adjusting to the next phase of mommyhood.
I sit and wonder, who the little one would look like the most... me or the hubby:-)
The little one is very active in the evening and I now have to make an extra effort just to get out of bed. I have been gaining my weight back after losing 20 pounds due to all day sickness. I really do not want to gain too much cause I know what it is to struggle to keep weight gain under control.
I hope september gets here, but not too soon... cause I hope to work till the day I give birth. This expansion to our family is a blessing we have to be ready for financially. My baby shower will be next month, and I will actually be sharing my shower with my cuz who is also pregnant at this time. The reason being that we are both due around the same time and our moms are the ones throwing the shower for us. Now if I could just get around to sending out the invitations, that would be a great start. LOL

Well this is really my first posting i didn't know about this website. My name is Stephanie and i'm 33 weeks today! I'm due September 4th and it can't come soon enough! I live in colorado and for the past month or so we have had 80 to 95 degree weather! Like today of course had to be 95 degrees!
I'm really excited though, i'm having a girl and she is going to be my first! I had my baby shower last week and i got pretty much everything you could think of!!!
My little one is so active even though she has like no room at all anymore! She is already head down and believe it or not has been that way since April! When they did the ultra sound that showed she was a girl they said she was head down. And at my last doctors appointment they said she was head down so i really don't think she rotated that much! She does this thing where she will stick her little butt out just under my ribs as hard as she can and then just sit there! I really think she knows that it is really uncomfortable! She will only move when i rub her butt and sometimes i have rub kind of hard!
Well only 7 more weeks to go! Hopefully my A/C doesn't take a poop on me! LOL

Yeah osa, im not a big writer either i just get bored a lot of times and this is where i go.
sas i hope your A/C dont go out! and if it does hopefully its when you are in the hospital and you can get it fixed before you get home! :)
ok so i just had my appt with my new Dr and it went really well. everyone is really nice, and the Dr is pretty good. it takes a lot to compete with my old Dr! but he came pretty close. we moved my due date up to sept 16th instead of the 23rd so im a week closer!
i have been pretty lucky with weather here, so far we've had only 2 days that were above normal temps and the rest were below for the month of July. so i've been in the 60's and 70's for weeks now and this week had done nothing but rain. so i guess if i picked the right year to be pregnant during the summer! :)

I am counting down!! I have an OB appt next week, and I am supposed to start monitoring and stress tests 2-3 times a week. The last few weeks have been rough. My car broke down like 2.5 weeks ago. I missed an Endocrinology appt, and had to walk to my OB appt. Found out that the reason my stupid car won't start is because the engine locked up, probably due to an internal oil leak. Can't afford another car, so I have to spend about $800 to have it fixed. My baby shower is this Saturday, I have been having this really bad feeling that NO ONE is going to come. I talked to my sister last night, who said that my brother is the only one who RSVP'd. I don't even want to think about it. Getting my car fixed, so at least I will have that back before the weekend so that I don't have to walk to my appt next week. I can also reschedule with my Endocrinologist, because my sugars are gradually going up. This isn't even half of whats going on with me right now, but I'm suprisingly upbeat. The only thing holding me together is that I know that I'm almost at that 'any day now' status. If Gavin doesn't come by my 39th week, I get induced, so I hope he makes up his mind sometime soon....

Ok so I'm going to be 36 weeks on friday. And i started having contractions 8 days ago, they are real but they aren't very strong, my water hasn't broken yet so my doctor told me to just stay at home and relax. I mean i haven't even lost my mucus plug yet! I really don't even know what i'm supposed to be looking for in regards to it! So if anyone could help me with that it would be awesome!
I'm starting to get restless! I really want her to be here already! I have the worst heartburn almost 24/7. There is no such thing as comfortable! My boyfriend wants to have sex all the time and i just am never in the mood! We haven't had sex in about 2 months! And i really only have 4 weeks left before she is supposed to be here and then after that they say not to have sex for 16 weeks, or something like that, so i'm really starting to feel bad that i'm not giving him anything! HELP!!! If anyone has any advice i will take it! Thanks All!!!

Been awhile since I posted here-been distracted by the other topics...
I am 34 weeks today measuring a week ahead. I have gest. diabetes which is driving me insane. No matter how much excersise or strict I eat my blood sugar keeps going up. I am on pills now but fear getting shots..
I have a HUGE baby but not due to diabetes just because I have BIG babies.. It measured 6lbs over a week ago they promise 9-10lbs easy!
Now I love the baby kicking, but ever notice its late at night when your all propped up and trying to get comfy?? and what is with the butt push ie: the baby pushing butt out your ribs so you cant breathe or move!
Whew thats enough for now..I got 4.5 weeks left so we are almost there!

hey everyone i am 34 weeks now and feeling like crap! i cant sit for very long, i cant stand or walk for very long or my legs and ankles swell so bad. i cant sleep but for an hour at a time then im up for at least 2. and my hubby wonders why im tired! the pressure is horrible and its just getting worse. she has this favorite thing to do when im reclining on the couch, she likes to stretch up to my ribs so i cant breath and down to my bladder so i about pee myself. she is running out of room and not sure how much my belly can stretch? its ALL baby in there.
my mom is throwing me a baby shower on the 22nd and she's afraid that i will be bringing a baby to the shower or i will be in the hospital! hopefully thats not the case but we will see.
sas-some women dont loose there mucus plug. i did but i know a couple of girls who didnt. pretty much wait till your contractions are 5 min apart and i think its for an hour. but I would ask your Dr at your next appt. just to make sure. and i would have him check you to see if you are dilating. and i hear you on the not wanting sex! i dont want to either and its so uncomfortable! but i wish it was 16weeks afterwords that you cant have sex but its 6weeks, your Dr will give you an "ok" at your 6week checkup.
hope this helps some...

im just hoping this wont be to much longer!
Hello Ladies
The count down has began (for most of us I hope). @ Kerisweetpea I hope your appointment goes well on Monday. and have fun at ur shower.
I have a shower to attend this weekend also.
I had my shower last weekend and we got so may things our appt looks like a babiesru. I am hoping I experience nesting because I have so much to do before baby gets here but not enough energy.
Baby is getting heavier and I am finally looking like a whale.....LOL
I actually hope baby stays in a few days past the due date so that I can work...... I get 12wks no pay(flma)...... I really do not want to cut my time at home just cause we need the money :-(. By God's grace we will make it through.
I have frequent braxton hicks especially at night when I really need to pee. I sleep like a baby at night also..... I think he sleeps and wakes with me. in the mornings that I decide to lounge in bed for a few minutes baby starts rolling around.
Being that this is my first, I wonder how I would respond to the onset of labor....

Hello! My name is Simone. I'm 35 and a sahm to 5 boys: Trent 15, Ty 13, Twins Peyton & Eli 3 and expecting Lennox soon. I'm due on the 13th!
I've had a very weird pregnancy from having a condom break the day before I O'd to no m/s this time at all. Having a sub-chorionic hematoma in early pregnancy. Having 4 u/s by week 20. Then finding out in July that I caught Fifths Disease from my twins in June. So I have been having weekly u/s's since July 20th to make sure Lennox isn't anemic. What happens is a baby inutero can get it too and it starts to attack the bone marrow causing new red blood cells to not be made. So the baby then needs a transfusion. In the first tri not much can be done and the baby maybe m/c'd or die and a dnc would need to be preformed. When in the 2nd and 3rd tri's the baby tends to be big enough to do a transfusion through the umbilical cord. But if you make it past 35 weeks and then the baby shows signs of anemia. They can take the baby early and give the blood directly to him/ her. If yesterday's u/s numbers weren't lower than I would have been induced today to give him a blood transfusion. Thank goodness he seems to be better than last week. Knowing my baby was sick would have been awful to deal with!
Oh yeah! Only 18 more days left till my dd!
@mom2pne that is an amazing story........ I pray you and baby keep up the good work.
I on the other hand need more energy, by the time I get home from work I feel like a log of wood and I can bearly get anything done.
Are any of you experiencing nesting???? what are the symptoms and what should I look out for????

Osa Thank you! As far as nesting I had that for about 2 days a couple of weeks ago! I washed and folded baby clothes. Washed the crib after my dh set it up and made it. I took all the sheets and blankets out of the linen closet and folded them and put them back nicely and I did some other things too, but don't remember what they were. Since than I have been too tired to do anything. I have to drag myself around just to get normal stuff done. So if you find yourself doing anything to keep busy that would be the nesting! When Are you due?
I am due 09/16
the great news is that my cuz who was due a week before me put to bed today.... she had a little boy. I hope to get to the hospital after work today. I initially planned to go during my lunch but my co-workers threw me a suprise shower. I can not believe all the gifts, I feel so blessed.

You know i haven't really had much nesting myself. I guess the most i've done was rearange the babies room and make sure that its all set up the way i want it. I just hit 39 weeks yesterday and i feel like she is never going to come out! Does anyone else feel like that? I can't even tell if she has dropped yet. I know she is in the head down position, and i have lots of presser on my pelvic area like they say your supposed to she the baby drops and i can breath a whole lot easier. But i still feel her up in my ribs A LOT!!! I really want to speed up the process but i'm not sure how! I am really tired of being pregnant! Yesterday i actually sat on my couch and cried for almost an hour because i felt so overwhelmed and i felt like she is never going to come out! Is that bad??? I'm not sure what to do. I also have had a headache nonstop since then and my back has been hurting me really bad for the past couple weeks! I'm just done being pregnant!!! I really just wanna hold my daughter in my arms already!!!

So i'm due today and Brianna still isn't here! I think she really likes it in there so she is going to be staying for a little while longer! lol I am so ready to hold her in my arms and smother her with kisses! My grandparents are having a bbq tomorrow and my whole family thinks i'm going to go into labor at there house. But i suppose that would be ok because at least my whole family would know and i wouldn't have to call any of them. My boyfriend is working full time and he texts me and calls me every time he gets a chance at work to see how i am and to make sure that i'm not in labor. I try telling him that he is going to be the first person i am going to call if he isn't home when i go into labor but he doesn't seem to believe me lol.
Well i suppose that about it for me right now. Hopefully the next time i'm on here i can let you all know that she is here!!!

I am so nervous. I have a scheduled c-section on Thursday. I am naturally a planner and knowing the date means I now have 7 list of plans (csection day, for my kids, if I go into labor early, for work, ect). I am also nervous I could go into labor (im 38 wks 3 days) because I have to hurry to the hospital since there is a risk of rupture. Also NO nesting. Meaning I am struggling just to get baby clothes put away and the bed ready. I finally packed my bag and baby stuff. So my question is...
If you have other kids is it harder to nest? Are we just to focused on our kids to really really care about cleaning house and playing with baby stuff?? Also my job has me totally distracted. I had to take the summer off and only been back 2 weeks then of course leaving on Wed for 4 months. I have so much I wanted to do before I left... I almost want to go to work right now (Sunday afternoon) but of course then I am working for free!

ok so here i am 5 days past my due date. I went to that doctors yesterday and she did a cervical massage. Well that gave me some pretty hard contractions last night but here it is 10:30 am and no more contractions. The ones i had last night where not consistent. So i have to go back to the doctors tomorrow and they are going to hook me up the a fetal monitor, do an ultra sound to make sure that my amniotic fluid level is ok and then another cervical massage. Then if i don't go into labor before monday i go back to the doctors and they are going to schedule a day to induce me. Boy i really think that my pregnancy flew by up until about 2 weeks ago. Its been dragging and i feel like my daughter is never going to get here and that she is being very stubborn! Well who knows maybe i'll go into labor later today! That would be SO great!

He has finally arrived! I checked into the hospital on 9-2 for a scheduled induction. They placed the Cervidil that evening, but I don't think that it was placed correctly, because 12 hours later, I still had not dialated. They still started my Pitocin on the morning of the 3rd. Contractions started coming, and fast! I dialated to about 3-4cm, 85% effaced when my doctor decided to break my water. Gavin was still very high up, and after she checked me and broke my water, I was in so much pain that I caved and decided to go for the epidural. BIG MISTAKE! I don't think this girl quite knew what she was doing, or maybe she was nerv ous, because it took her several tries to correctly place the epi. After that, they tried placing the internal monitor on Gavin's head, because he was beginning to have trouble with decelerations. I made it to 4cm and after a couple of hours, there was still no change. My doctor then approached me with my only option: C-Section. I was heartbroken, and terrified because I had never had surgery. The meds they gave me made me sick, so I was on the operating table puking my guts out too. But, at 8:50PM on 9-3-09, but beautiful baby boy arrived! He was admitted to the Special Care nursery because of issues with his respirations (100+) He also has a suspected heart murmur, and was slightly jaundiced. He was released from special care, and on 9-7-09, we were both discharged. Baby is doing great, but healing from the surgery has been difficult, because I am used to being able to do for myself. I am feeling much better now, but recovery is far from over. I wish all of the other mothers that have given birth luck with their babies, and to the ones whose bundles of joy have not yet arrived, your time is coming...hang in there!

She is finally here! Brianna Nicole 10lbs 3oz! Yes i said 10lbs! And i gave birth to her vaginally! I checked into the hospital on 9/11 about 10:30pm i was doing pretty good i was 4 to 5cm and 85% effaced. I did pretty good with the pain for a little while but then around 2am i decided i needed something for the pain so they gave me something in my IV, it was very nice for about an hour, it really helped me sleep. Well after that wore off i was really feeling it so i gave in and got the epidural. That was all fine and dandy for about an hour but then all of a sudden it stopped working on my left side, they had me lay on my left side trying to get the medicine to go to that side but that didn't work. I really thought i was dying at that point, and let me tell you i was definately letting everyone know how much pain i was in! I think i scared all the women on the labor and delivery floor. So finally they had another guy come in and take out the first epidural and put in a new one. Let me tell you it was the difference between night and day! I couldn't feel a thing i was in heaven! The only problem with that was that when it came time to start pushing i couldn't feel anything so i couldn't tell if i was doing it right, so they had to turn down the dosage. Then they brought in a mirrior which helped A LOT! Plus i had my babys dad, my mom, his mom, my grandma, and 2 of my sisters in the delivery room with me so i have TONS of emoional support which was great! So then at 12:11pm my little bundle of joy was in my arms! I'm so excited that she is finally here!
Well congrats to all the new mommies out there and to all you others that still have some waiting to do, enjoy it now! Theres not much sleeping once they get here and your belly with never be the same again!!! LOL Good luck all!
