I'm having terrible trouble restricting my 3 year old from wanting to eat all of his 6 Easter eggs at once. The tantrums he's throwing are 2nd to none. Any advice? I've heard of a website called fivefabmums.com - brilliant website, but I'm sure my son has the worst temper ever!

I guess I'm kind of a toughie, maybe. I tell my son one or two of the easter candy, then you're done. If he throws a fit I warn him he needs to get ahold of himself and stop or he's going to his room/bed. I'll count to 5 or 10, depending on how wound up he is, then go from there.

My daughter is almost 3. I will be the first to admit that I do keep her a bit of a short leash. She has more energy (very hyper) then the average 3 yr old. In the begining when she started to throw things, hit, and throw a tantrum (which was around 2) it took me a bit to find what works for her. If she starts to throw a tantrum I had her stand in a corner and told her when she is done srceaming she can come and talk to me. It took a bit but she usually stops crying and we can discuss the issuse. But no means "NO!" I have to modify it a bit every once in a while. When just standing the corner didn't work I had her face the corner, now I have her face the corner and cross her arm so she can't touch anything. It doesn't take long for her to calm herself down but she knows that if she steps way she has to be done crying. It is way to hard to communicate with a toddler that is hysterical.
