Avatar help

Hi, for some reason I can't seem to save my avatar. I adjusted the size to make sure it is small enough, but I keep getting an unable to save image message. Can someone let me know what I am doing wrong?

I dont think you are doing anything wrong... I think the Avatar feature is not working. I have been trying to put up an Avatar Pic for the last few months with no luck. I posted a similar thread back then asking for help and did everything I was told and STILL..... no luck!! If anyone else knows what we can do to get our Avatars up, could you please help RImommy and myself out??? Thanks ;)

OMG!! It is driving me nuts!!!!!!! I cannot get any new picture to save either!! All it says is Unable to save image!!!UGGHH!!!

HAHA i thought it was just me!! i cant change mine! those stupid little words "unable to save!" are driving my crazy!!! i just want to save a newer picture!! is that so hard?????

Apparently, yes it is that hard :) It still drives me crazy, but I'm glad to know I'm not overlooking something ridiculously obvious like pressing enter or something!

I can't get the avatar or profile picture or any of it to change and I can't get a signature to work either! This site sucks! Back to BZ

Ok moms, I just sent an email to Jessica at parenting.com; Sasha at parenting.com and a pm to the adminforum so hopefully somehow we can get an answer as to whether we are doing something wrong or if there is just a malfunction with the feature right now!!!!

thanks kayleesmom, yeah hopefully someone will know whats going on! and they will be able to help us so we can change or put one up!!!!! i'll keep checking back every once in a while to see if anything is progressing! :)

They had them up before the avatar section crashed.lol. I used to have one up , but deleted so I could swap to a new one & we see what happened!!

Try to change your avatar. I think they are fixed. I just changed mine. I noticed they were blank so I tried and it worked.

Ok so I am still stuck being a purple lady!! It keeps saying Invalid File when I try to save a picture! I am trying to save a picture like awillis & I have tried resizing it & still nothing!!

Hey everyone,

So sorry some of you are still having problems. For those of you who still can upload an avatar, can you answer the following?

1. Have you cleared your cookies? In Internet Explorer, this is under Tools >> Internet Options.
2. What browser are you on?
3. What format is the photo you're trying to upload? It should be a jpeg.

I am able to upload an avatar, and it is visible in my profile, but not on the actual boards. I'm using Firefox, I have cleared my cookies, and the photo is the right size, format, and dimensions. Any suggestions?

Profile image is in your profile. It's what theywould see if they view your profile. To replace the pink lady, you need to change your avatar.

Did you click the little circle that says use custom avatar? Did you save changes when you were done? If you have done that stuff then I don't know what to tell you. Your problem could be because of the probs they are having with the site.

It looks like the avatars went back to the way they were before.....??? All of the people who originally had avatars saved have their old avatars back, and all of the one's saved since the problem was fixed are now gone. I guess this is a complicated tech problem, hope it will be fixed soon!!!! :(
