This is my first pregnancy, I am due June 30. I have a niece and a nephew, which were both born in winter. I have little cousins and what-not, that were all in spring or fall..What about summer? How do you keep them cool when outside on walks, or protect their sensitive little skin? I imagine they will sweat a lot of the time, is there a way to prevent that?
Thanks in Advance!

Although I am a first-time mom myself, I raised my neice from the time that she was two weeks up until she was almost two and a half. She never really got too hot during the summer, thought that could have been because I dressed her in loose, light clothing.
My daughter will be born in July, so I also will have the same concerns. But it does relieve me to know that babies have to stay around 5 degrees higher in temperature than we do - so while we may be burning up, they're probably just fine.
My only suggestion and what I plan to do myself is not to go out during the hottest part of the day (between 11AM to 2PM), stay indoors on really hot days, and be sure to not stay out too long if possible.
Hope that helps you out and maybe eases your mind some. Congrats.

I had a summer baby and am going to have another this summer. I pretty much dressed him in just a onesie or sleeveless rompers. I also always carried a light-weight blanket big enough to drape over the stroller to block the sun. Also, like motherxravyn said, stay away from the hottest hours. Chances are, baby will be napping at that time anyway. Also, I loved the little newborn bucket hats. My baby was too young to care about it being on, and it helped.
