My 12 month old refuses to wear shoes but insists on walking everywhere. I have looked all over for some soft soled shoes that maybe have a feel like socks since I finally got him to where those. Any suggestions for shoes he might keep on that aren't too expensive? Thank you.

I bought both my boys Robeez shoes, they're a little pricey but they hold up beautifully. My kids hate wearing shoes too, they come off as soon as the boys are in the house.

Pedipeds are what we got for my little girl. She loved them and would actually put her foot up in the air for me to put them on as soon as she saw them! They are about $32 but are well worth it!! They have many styles and colors for boys and girls. They have a very thin leather sole and you can fold them up in your hand... they are that flexible. Doctors recommend that children learning to walk wear only socks or go barefoot so they can feel and grip the ground with their toes. Pedipeds were designed by podiatrists. I think to a child they feel almost more like a slipper than a shoe, kind of like the Robeez.

You can look at them at pediped.com and I think even find a store that sells them near you if you would like to try them on him to see if he likes them. Good Luck!

Oh and by the way, if you visit the website. Be sure to look at the "originals" not the "flex". The flex are the ones with a thicker harder sole usually geared more towards an older toddler. The Originals are the soft squishy ones your son would benefit from. :)

Target has shoes that are made of soft leather and they are real flexible. I think they are ugly, lol, but I can see what the purpose is for.
