Hi, I hope u all dont think this is stupid because it really hurts me.My 28 mo dd is the love of my life! I work 3 days a week and @ that time she is with grandma. My mom waited forever for a grandchild so I understand her loving to be with my dd and all the attention she gives her. My dd loves her grandma & squeals with delight when my mom comes to get her. Dont get me wrong, i love that i can leave her with someone so loving & whom i can trust.I just get so jealous! I play with my dd all the time when i'm not working, and not cuz I feel guilty but because i love to be with her!!!I do special things with her just the 2 of us. But lately its been daddy, daddy, daddy! My husband doesnt spend as much time with her cuz of work and has a shorter fuse with her than me,he's also the one who enforces disipline. I feel stupid for saying this but I feel last on the list. I do want her to be close to and love her family but am I wrong to feel jealous?????

It's probably the whole "she wants them because she doesn't see them as much" thing. I don't think you should worry about it.

Honestly, I would feel the same way. I was always envious (not quite jealous) of moms before I had Charlie because they were the center of their kids' universe. That was one of the things I couldn't wait to feel when I became a mother.

But, C has a point. She is probably starting to understand that she sees them less making it more exciting when they are around. It's all part of growing up.

Honestly I think you have all the right to be jealous. I just had my first baby December 17th and me and my husband are living at his parents, his mom always comes and takes her away from me no matter what. I get so mad but I dont want to tell my husband anything because I think he would get mad cuz thats his mom were talking about but come on I think I have the right to spend time with my baby without anyone interrupting like that. Plus she already had all her kids and they grew up. NOW LET ME GROW UP WITH MINE!!! I really do know where you are coming from.

thank u girls for the support @ least i dont feel like im being silly.Sometimes i do feel like my mom thinks my dd is hers! And I think she knows it bothers me but deep down loves it that it seems like my dd favors her! It does hurt me. I know I should welcome the break & appreciate what i have but she's my only baby and I want us to be close. I guess maybe i will try to not let it bother me.My dh is great about this, and agrees with u all that hes not around as much as me so she is clingy to him for that reason. Thank u for the replies & for letting me kno im not alone or being silly.
