Need Advice

I have three wonderful children, ages 6, 4, and 2. My oldest is going through alot right now. We just lost our house due to the hurricanes so we haved moved. This means he switched schools. At his old school he was an angel never any problems and had very good grades, but at this new school he throws tantrums to ake test tells the teachers no and refuses to particapte in any activies I took every thing from him no yard no tv no snacks but still nothing. I am so lost here. I dont know if i am doing wrong or is it everything we have been through effecting him. please any advice would be great>

Have you tried rewards for good behavior? When he has a whole week of good behavior at school reward him with something. It could be anything between having a friend sleep over to a new toy. If he doesn't behave the whole week no reward. Is there something going on at this new school that is causing his behavior? Is he making friends? Are the teachers nice to him? Is he being bullied? Have you spoken with his teacher to try to get to the root of the problem? Does he like this new school? It just sounds to me like there is something causing his behavior. Has he always acted this way since the switch? If so he may be acting this way because he thinks it will get him back to his old school. If this behavior started long after the switch then find out what happened to make him act this way. Good luck. Hope I helped.
