Ok, my husband and I have been married for almost 4 years now and we have a lovely and beautiful 7 month old daughter. My husbands parents have never really cared for me and they make it very obvious by never calling or coming over even when we live in the same town. But it has been much worse since my daughter was born. 3 weeks after we had our baby, my sister in law called out of the blue and went off on my husband for being a terrible this or that and bringing up stuff that happened like 10 years ago and blaming him for all of her troubles. Did I mention that accused me of trying to steal her brother and for causing the family anxiety because I didn't contribute financially during my pregnancy?? The trouble is since then, his sister in law has at every family function tried to take my baby from me and hold it as though it were hers! I have since made it very clear that I do not trust his sister around our baby and have avoided them for 6 months now. It sucks because my husband gets a chip on his shoulder when the issue of his family comes up and I get nervous when any major holiday is upon us (Easter) for fear that I will have to be around them. Help!!
