We have a six week old baby and it seems to me that he is eating way to much. At any feeding, he is eating 4-6oz's of formula and is doing it at least 10-15 times a day!! I'm 6'2'' and my fiance' is 5'10'' so we are assuming we are going to have a big boy. But is this much eating normal?? Any help or advice would be great.

Well, I would say if he is holding down the formula (not spitting up or vomiting) then you shouldnt worry. If you are concerned, I would mention it to the pediatrician at the next visit, or call the nurse line and ask the question. Im sure its a normal, healthy, boy appetite and nothing to worry about.
Congrats on the baby!

If he is holding the food down then it doesn't seem like too much. As long as he is eating because he is hungry- not as a way to sooth him. Also, the pediatrician will tell you if it is too much at his next check up. Good Luck and Congrats

Allow me to comment from experience. Enjoy it while you can. Our son was a BIG healthy eater as an infant. On regular check ups he ranked in the 90-95% range all the time. Family members would always comment he didn't play when it was time to eat. He was a chubby baby and I haave to admit I loved it. He was so precious, our little chubby angle. But things did change. Once he started crawling, then walking, then interacting with other children during play, he would eat less and less. Many times I had to encourage him to eat mini meals multiple times a day. His weight fell and he slim down considerably. Now at age 2 his appitite is still quite healthy at times but he is very active and full of energy. So again, enjoy it while you can. You will wish for these times when he wont seem interested in food at all.
