Hi, My name is Carley, and I have a handsome 10 month old little boy named RJ. And I have a question.

RJ walked about 2 weeks ago all over the kitchen, after he walked he sat down and now he will not walk at all. When I stand him up and let him go, he falls toward me and laughs. I don't know if I should be concerned. I know that he can walk because I seen him do it more than once, but it was only that one day.

I'd say not to worry. I'm pretty sure it's normal. He may just not be working on his walking skills right now. He's working on internal skills right now so he's letting his walking skills rest. If after a month he hasn't walked again then maybe you should see what his pediatrition says.

Definitely no need to worry. 10 months is still considered young for walking. He is learning not only the physical ability but also how to process it mentally to get his little uncoordinated body to respond. The average age for really starting to master walking is around 12mo, and some are much later than that. If he is crawling, cruising, and attempting to walk on his own I'm sure he is just fine. My DD also took about a month break after she initially showed the ability to walk.

Your non-toddler days are numbered, enjoy them while you can. Won't be long before your little one no longer stays in the same general vicinity that you placed him. :)

No worries. My daughter did the same thing. At 10 months she took several steps between Daddy and me. After that magical day, she refused to try FOREVER. Then all of a sudden shortly after her first birthday, she started tearing around on her own. I wouldn't worry just yet. :)
