Hello all. I am so confused in my thoughts and would like some guidance. I have been married for 18 years to a wonderful man. We have 2 children my son is 14 and my daughter is 12. For years I have wanted more children but life got in the way and we never did. Well now I am 34 almost 35 and my clock is ticking LOUD!! My husband has decided that we can try although I know he isnt 100% sold on this. But now I am having second guesses. For years this is what I want and now I am thinking life is good the way it is.
Please give me some thoughts and input I am so confused!

When I read your post, my heart went out to you. I know that this has to be hard and can certainly relate because my friend is also struggling with the same question whether to have more children or not. As you may know, children can bring a new dimension of joy and fulfillment to a marriage which can't be found elsewhere. They force us to look outside of ourselves and act sacrificially for the benefit of another. I'm so glad that you have experienced the joy of having children. Know that I'm praying for you, asking that the Lord would give you wisdom and guide your steps. In the time I've worked with Focus on the Family, I have found articles that might be helpful and I'm always excited to share about it with other parents. The following one discusses topics such as: When should we have kids? How many? How far should they be spaced? http://bit.ly/GXnStH. I hope this helps. You can also ask one of our counselors for more specific suggestions, if you prefer one-on-one help.
