I had my son in 2007 via C-section. While I was open my DR (kind of a jerk thank God he has retired) let me know that I had fibroids on my right ovary. During my 6 week check up, after the birth, he gave me birth control and stated that this was how I got rid of the fibroids. I did not take the pills, my past experience with Any type of birth control pills has made me WACKO. Having just had a baby and all the emotions out of wack already I just did not wanna try it. So my question is... I am currently weaning the 20 month old demander and I wanna try to have another. Is it possible the fibroids are gone? Can I even get preg? If so can this hurt my next baby? What can I do to get rid of this without taking birth control? Thank you for any advise you can give me. :)

I looked it up on webmd. It doesn't look like anything serious. It's mostly just a cyst that is just there. I know a couple of women who have some uterine cysts and they all have children. They also take b/c to help clear them up, but according to the site it's not always needed. They do make low-dose hormone b/c(low estrogen 21) perhaps this would work for you.

I have had fibroids in my uterus since I had my first boy 5 years ago. They found them during the ultrasound. I have since had 2 more boys and everything has went fine. I don't know about on your ovaries though.

I always have fibroids on my ovaries and am currently pg with #2. They're just cysts and the b/c pills will get rid of them, but when you go off the pills they come back!

I've had cysts on my ovaries and most of them desolve. And OH BOY sometimes that process is painful!!! But, its really not a big huge deal unless they are not desolving or grown too large. Have you asked your new doctor about this?

Heck yea it's painful. I had a cyst that burst when I was 17. It felt like someone was stabbing me!!!

My mom had a fibroid on her uterus the size of a softball! It made her periods all whacked out, she'd bleed insanely heavy for weeks. She had is surgically removed and she felt better the very next month.

My mom had fibroids - and doctor suggested surgical intervention. Around the same time a friend of hers suggested she tried homeopathy - and she just wanted to check out before going the surgical way. The Homeo doctor talked about fibroid (cases where it had grown back after surgery) remission cases that was treated successfully with homeo. Over 6 months and the periods improved and she got better. Check this link for similar case that I found on web -
