I am just starting my first potty training attempt with my 17 mo girl. She loves to sit on the potty but she won't pee in it. When she has to pee she stands up and pees in the floor. The only thing I know to do is dash towards her and try to sit her on the potty before she is finished. But when I run for her, she gets startled and stops peeing.
I know I should tell her what she is doing "You are going pee pee." so she will understand what is happening but I just can make myself stand still and tell her that while she pees on the carpet.
Any suggestions?
