I have been reading some very interesting, but disturbing research regarding non organic clothing.
Conventional cotton clothes contain pesticide residues as well as many chemicals used in the finish of the cotton. The dangerous pesticides end up on the babies skin through direct contact from the very clothes he or she wears, and can absorbed by the body through the skin and the lungs (especially premature infants who have an extremely high skin absorption rate due to their thin/fragile skin).
Also non organic dyes contain PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) which is a dangerous chemical used in the conventional dyeing process and has been shown to cause kidney failure, developmental delays, and even hearing loss in children.
Organic cotton will be the only way I go with my precious little boy!!!
