I have been reading some very interesting, but disturbing research regarding non organic clothing.

Conventional cotton clothes contain pesticide residues as well as many chemicals used in the finish of the cotton. The dangerous pesticides end up on the babies skin through direct contact from the very clothes he or she wears, and can absorbed by the body through the skin and the lungs (especially premature infants who have an extremely high skin absorption rate due to their thin/fragile skin).

Also non organic dyes contain PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) which is a dangerous chemical used in the conventional dyeing process and has been shown to cause kidney failure, developmental delays, and even hearing loss in children.

Organic cotton will be the only way I go with my precious little boy!!!

I couldn't agree with you more. Most baby clothes are made of cotton, and cotton is the most chemicaly dependent crop there is. It takes an enormous amount of chemicals to produce enough cotton just to make one adult sized tee shirt. Also, the thinner the skin the more easily the chemicals are absorbed. The earlier a preemie arrives, the thinner their skin.
Finding organic preemie clothes is difficult but if you do a google search there are places that are starting to carry them more and more.
