Not sure if this is the right place for this or not. My friend told me about this site see if any predators live in my area. Great information. I was shocked at the amount of sexual predators within 5 miles of one of our elementary schools. All parents should check out there neighborhood.

That website was a total eye opener for me. A man convected of forcible sodomy w/ a 9 yr old boy lives directly behind my house. Needless to say my kids won't be trick or treating in that part of the neighborhood. I love how you can actually see what they look like and see not only the people who live by you, but offenders who work in your area. At first I would think well that person lives 10 miles away or something like that. And then I realized we shop at the same stores, go to the same community events ect. It makes me hold onto my boys a little bit tighter when we are out in public.

I'm actually surprised. There aren't as many as I was expecting in our area. Although I'm not sure if this makes me feel safer. There are probably more that just aren't registered. Scary. Thanks for the heads up!

You're welcome. Probably one of the most important information tools available for a child's safety from predators. Oh yeah, I answered your question in the GEAR and Essentials section CraftyAshley.

See Ya.

follow up this search with your city's criminal public records. familywatchdog isn't always up to date if/when these predators change their residences. If you find someone who's your neighbor.. check it out through your city's records before you get too freaked. I can't say how often fwd is wrong, but it's not bad to follow up just to be sure.
