Snow days - What to do with the kids?

Hey Guys,

I live in Lake Tahoe California and at my elevation we get snow days often. Can anyone recommend things I can do with my kids to pass the time.

I read about some good options on this site, but need some more ideas:

Build forts with blankets chairs and tables
Fill spray bottles with colored water, go outside and spray the snow
Learn new old fashion games - cat's cradle, jacks, card games, etc.
Huddle in a dark room and tell ghost stories
If your children are a little older - learn how to sew, crochet, etc. There are some types of finger weaving that kids as young as 4th grade can figure out how to do.
