Advantages and Disadvantages

Hey guys, this may be inappropriate since it's a parenting forum and I'm not a parent, but I've been looking for some men's perspectives of parenting. Quick summary of me: I'm 31 in a serious relationship with a great girl not interested in future children (including adoption). I'm on the other side of leaving the door open for that. So, with that being the main issue, I've really struggled. I'm guessing most or all of you here are already fathers. What have you learned from your experiences and what do you see as main advantages and disadvantages? Thanks for your advice. Decisions in life are quite a challenge!
