It looks like it is past time to make a new thread.

Please feel free to introduce yourself.

Hi, my name is Amanda! DH & I have been trying for 3 years come February! I was on Clomid for a few cycles with no success, so right now we are taking a break & TTC without any medicine.

Right now I am in the middle of my cycle, so pretty much in the TWW(two week wait)! Please feel to join us on here!

My husband and I have been TTC for over a year now. We started going to the OBGYN last year around March and went through several tests. Finally she prescribed Chlomid in November. This month is our second month on Chlomid and I hope it works.....I will find out late next week.

We only have one more month of Chlomid and then we are on our own. The OBGYN told us that was all she could do then we would have to see a fertility specialist. All of tests were good and there was no "KNOWN" reason why we were having problems.

I will cross my fingers for you and hope things turn out well. Its mind altering when you want a child so bad but have no success........You begin to question yourself, your spouse, even God.

Hey Lisa. I agree it is horrible & mind altering. I hope this month was a success for you. I will be thinking good thoughts for you!

Today is CD26, so AF could show up today all the way through CD46, so for me it is just a waiting game!

I too am on CD26....I'm usually pretty regular so my AF should come around CD28 (this Sunday). I HOPE NOT! :-) I am thinking of you also and pray that we both get that little blessing from God and that everything is healthy.

I turned 38 in November and sometimes I wonder if I am just not meant to have a child because of reasons only God has the answer to.

I have a question for you.......My chlomid was prescribed for days 5-9......this past month I got my days all screwed up and actually took them days 4-8..........wonder if anyone else has done this and will they not help this month because I took them on the wrong days. Feel too stupid to call the DR and ask. :-)

Lisa- I hope AF doesn't show up for you.
I started yesterday. CD 28 & while I am not happy she is here I am happy she didn't mess with me. Also I did the same thing when I was taking Clomid. I was supposed to take it CD4-8 & ended up taking it CD5-9. My doctor said it was fine. No big deal. As long as it is around the same time. :) Good Luck!

Hey Saff- I remember you! Welcome back & good luck! :)

APEMBERTON, I am so sorry to hear that. Actually CD28 was yesterday for me but I have been know to wait until CD31 so I am still waiting and hoping. Just for curiosity sake I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. Do you think it was too early? I hope so!

Hey ladies! I have been on this board since way back in February 2009...boo! I haven't written in forever though...just been trying to lay back and take things as they come!

My name is Amber and my DH and I have been ttc for baby # 1 since December 2008. We have been married almost three years now.

Currently I am on CD 47 (longest cycle thus far) of cycle 24. I did take two HPT's, one on CD 37 which was a BFN and another on CD 43 which was a BFN. Neither really shocked me, because I would actually be REALLY shocked if we had hit the mark this cycle...

So right now I am playing the waiting game, either waiting for AF or waiting for an HPT to read positive!

I have not seen a specialist, because I kept holding out hope that we could do this naturally without any help. I do go for my yearly on February 16, and I know my OB/GYN will want to send me to a specialist because she talked about it last year.

Good luck to everyone!

Natasha - Thank you for the support! It will all happen in good time I am sure! Good luck on ttc # 2!!

Rita - Glad to see that you are back!! Happy Birthday to the twins!! Sorry about the miscarriage, I have friends that have been through that and it can be so disheartening. Good luck with ttc this time around!!

As for me...AF showed this past Friday along with the Flu, so it has has been a rough few days in my household, lol! I am finished with AF now and the Flu is almost gone, so I will be jumping back on the BD train before long!!! I have my yearly appointment with my OB/GYN on February 16, so we will see how that goes and see what she thinks we should do.

Babydust to all!!!!

Well, I went for my yearly appointment with my OB/GYN yesterday. We have ordered some at home fertility tests (the digital kind) to see how things go next month. She was just a little concerned that we have not gotten preggo in this amount of time, but she said that it is very possible that we have just not hit the right timing. She said that a lot of women realize once they start the OPK's that they have not been timing right and that they actually ovulate at a different time than they thought so. So we will see next month. We ordered the Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests, and there was a 20 pack on amazon.com that I thought was priced reasonably well, with shipping and all I only paid $27.02. If we use these and don't get much out of them, DH and I have decided to buy the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor. A bit more pricey, but I have found a package deal with the monitor and test strips through walmart.com for $190.00. The test strips themselves are pretty high alone, so I hope that these little digital ones work the first time and that we don't have to worry about it!! I have read reviews on both, and feel pretty comfortable in knowing that they work in terms of letting you know when you are most fertile, etc.

So we will see how that all goes. My doctor did give me the information for the fertility specialist, but she wants us to try with this first, and if it hasn't worked in about 3-4 months, she wants us to go to the specialist to at least get some testing done.

So I am excited, and hoping that we are able to get this done!!!

Baby dust to all!

Well....all out of chlomid now. Husband and I are now going to let nature take its course. We are so tired of "trying"............ So for now its just go with the flow "not worry" and hope things happen.

Good luck to everyone!

Aminor - I hope that the strips help you! Hopefully your doc is right and you're just off by a couple days. I'm glad you've talked to him/her about it so they can help.
Ruth-Good to see you back. Glad to hear you're doing well, good luck trying for #2!
Lara-How long have you been trying? Is Chlomid the last resort? Sorry, I'm naive in how the process works if you have trouble conceiving. Sticky baby dust to you.

Well we're getting close to ovulation time this month and I have to admit I'm really nervous about trying for #2... But I suppose I was really nervous about #1 too so I guess it's normal?

Sticky Baby Dust to everyone!!!

hey everyone,

vixen- OMG i was just thinking the SAME EXACT THING! my dh and i are also ttc #2 and i was also thinking about how nervous i am and was wondering if that was normal. i mean i was also nervous abt #1but somehow i think im more nervous this time. although, there is alot less pressure this time, at least for us since while we arent doing anything to prevent pregnancy we are also not trying as hard as we were for #1. anyway, after reading your post i guess it really is normal ;)

we are really excited tho, i have 1 sister in law who is due in april so when i get pregnant the cousins will be pretty close in age. on the other hand i have another sister in law who has been trying for abt 9 months now for #1 and she is taking it really, really hard. i hope she gets pregnant before me, or thats shes pregnant already and i just dont know it yet. otherwise i know ill feel so bad telling her.

good luck ladies and baby dust to everyone!!!!

Hey Ladies! It has been a long time since I have written anything, but I continue to follow all of your journeys. I keep signing on waiting to see good news.
Aminor- I am glad you are going to start OPKs.
For those of you who have been around here for a long time...have any of your husbands been tested yet. I am not sure if you remember but after 13 months of trying we did...(turns out we were already pregnant)....but having DH tested is way cheaper then all of of the tests that us ladies go through.
We are starting to talk about trying for our second now. We are really torn. DH test showed that quality and quantity were good...but motility was a little issue...so we are debating whether or not to start trying now or waiting until Bradley is a year old. He is 7 months now. I want the kids to be close in age.....and with our history I am nervous it could take a long time again. I am still BFing and have not had AF yet...so I am also worried that might take a while. Oh ladies....what would you do if you were me...this is such a hard decision!

hey tara,

i guess you have to ask what feels right? could you handle it is you got pregnant right away? i have a friend who tried for a very long time for her first and thought she was in for the same for her second and got pregnant immediately. she was really suprised but also happy with how things turned out. dh and i just started trying for #2 last month, our dd is 15 months and it took us 6 months to concieve after using hormonal bc. i really wanted to concieve this month so that our kiddies would be exactly 2 yrs apart and we had only been using contraceptive gel so we didn't think it would take as long this time. AF is due friday but i couldnt help it and took a test tonight...BFN :( i didn't think i was preggo tho too many cramp like twinges to be implantation and no other "classic signs". anyway, you never know how it's going to turn out, i guess you kind of have to prepare yourself for both.
i think i have found that planning and trying for #2 has been alot different than #1. soooo many different concerns and logistics that just weren't there last time. also now that we have a child, eventhough we want more, its not as frantic and with #1 and im not as focused on am i or arent i. i do still hope that maybe i am preggo this month and that i just tested too early. when i was preggo with dd i took a urine and blood test the day AF was due and while the urine came back negative the blood came back positive. so ill be saving that other test and keeping my fingers crossed that AF is late :)
anyway, good luck and baby dust to all!

congrats rita!!!!!! thats wonderful!
i just wanted to share the weirdness... i was 100% sure i started AF yesterday, it was light the way it always is and it started first thing in the morning. normal so far. well then today is when it usually gets heavier and by the end of the day im practically flooding. except, that today it seems to have pretty much tapered off. it was never red and i havent had ANY cramping and by day 2 i am usually living on midol. its been pinkish brown and mucosy (sorry if TMI) and like i said it doesnt even seem to be coming anymore. i dont want to get my hopes up since this was NOT what it was like when i concieved our DD. in anycase, im going out to the pharmacy later to get a pregnancy test which i guess ill be taking tomorrow morning if things dont pick up. i secretly have my fingers crossed for a bfp.
has this happened to anyone else??

Hey everyone. I have been MIA for a while. Super busy & then super sick.

Everything is much better now.

Slowly getting better & most of the stress is gone. We are selling our house right now so it is a little stressful.

I had gotten back on BC at my doctor's recommendation for my horrible AF's. I couldn't take it though & have decided to go to a different doctor, so I am hoping he can really help me & figure out what is wrong with me.

We are still not ready to go back to the specialist, so it is just old fashioned TTC for us! :)

Hey to all the people that are new,or have come back. I have been on here for 3 years now, so I remember you! :)

CONGRATS RITA!!!! :)

SE- I have had that happen before, but it sounds promising for you! I will have everything crossed for you!
Let us know the results ASAP!

Ps/ I started a new April/ May/ June thread! :)
