My husband and I have been together for almost 5 years and have gone 4 years with NO type of birth control what soever. After 2 years we got pregnant, (not planned but not prevented either) and now, 2 years later were trying for number 2 and nothing is happening. Is there something wrong that we've only been pregnant once in 4 years with nothing? I don't know how else to try that would make it any different

You may just be missing your ovulations dates. Have you tried OPK's(ovulation predictor kit)?

Consider reading about basil body temperature method for detecting ovulation. A great book is Take Charge of Your Own Fertilily. By checking cervical fluid you can predict when you are about to ovulate (the best time for conception) and through temperature find out when you do ovulate.
Infertillity is definded as trying for 1 yr without success. Talk to your doctor to find out what he/she suggests. It could be something simple like low sperm count, or you ovulate on day 6 or 22 instead of day 14 and are missing the window of opportunity.
You can also consider adoption instead of fertility treatments, but that is a lot to think about.
