trying to plan for another?

ok my son is 18months old now so we want to try for another one, so that way they are not very far apart in age! but i guess im kinda confused cause i've never checked to see when im ovulating, and really dont know how? but after my son was born my periods have been so messed up that they are different every month! but before my son they were right on time! so i guess i dont know how to check, should i just go by my last period or just guess?

I also checked those tests at the store but i cant see spending $30 on a weeks worth of tests and on something that isnt totally accurate? or do they really work?
Please i hope somebody can help me :confused:

My husband and I are also trying for our second baby, our son is 21 months old. We've been trying for a couple months now with no luck yet :(....I have tried the ovulation sticks but they didnt seem to work. I signed up on a free website a month ago called mymonthlycycle.com and it calculated my ovulation days..it has you enter in the dates of your last few periods and it figures out the average cycle length and other things and it gives you the info...im supposed to get my period in 3 days but im hoping im pregnant :)...maybe try the website and good luck to u guys :)
