Should siblings bathe together?
And at what age should it stop?
I have a Girlfriend who has twin boys in junior high she incites that they shower together (to save hot water?)
I feel they are a little old to be doing this but it’s really none of my business.
Now I have two toddler children who bathe together and don’t see a problem with this but feel it will have to stop soon as my son is getting to old.
But have received looks from friends who don’t have kids that little brother and little sister should not bathe together.
What are your thoughts on this topic??

I have a girl and a boy. They are both very little right now and we bathe them together. I've also wondered about when/if we should stop. I think once they ask to start bathing alone will definitely stop it. Otherwise, once they're too big to both fit together in the tub, that will end it.

I had two brothers, 3yrs and 5 yrs younger than me. I remember taking a bath with them when we were little and writing with bath crayons on the wall. I don't think it damaged any of us. ;) I also now have a 4 and 2 yr. old sons who bathe together and it hasn't become an issue yet. I imagine I have at least a year or two left before they get too old, but I don't know for sure.

My first thought is EWWW those boys are way too old to be showering together! If this is a good friend, I would definitely say something, maybe along the lines of how the boys will be teased mercilessly about it once it comes out at school. How much hot water could they need? Why not just turn off the water if they aren't actually rinsing themselves off?
I think when children are small, it only makes sense to bathe them together. Once one of them is interested in privacy, they'll let you know. My oldest, 6, will not allow her dad to help her in the shower (she's got waist length, thick hair and cannot rinse it without help yet) but then runs around naked without a care in the world.
I, too, took baths with my two brothers when I was young. We must have been 3, 5, and 6 before we started bathing separately, but none of us remembers it as anything but great fun. I'm sure that any time my mom saved by bathing us together was more than made up for in time spent mopping up bath water afterward!
