My baby girl is 4 months and she is great. We have had some hard times with her experiencing stomach pain - gas - and acid reflux. THere are a lot of ups and downs which I imagine are normal for having a 4 month old, right? Some nights are better than others, some days are better than others. My wife is a great mom. However, she gets frustrated and upset, understandably. Anybody have a similar experience and/or any advice? Any moms out there who have ideas for how to handle the emotional difficulties my wife has. I would really appreciate it.

Does your wife have any infant books like "What to expect the first year" or "your child's first year" by the american acadamy of pediatrics? Those help to put what is normal into perspective.
See if your hospitol has any new mom support groups, or if your church or anyone has a mom group. Being around other mothers who also have problems again helps to put your own into perspective.
Consider the possiblity of post partum depression - if you think that could be it encourage her to consult her doctor.
It sounds like you are doing what you can to support her - things do get easier as the baby gains some independence and begins to sleep better - but it still takes time. Try to get your wife involved with other moms and that may help a lot.
